    From the article:
But something deeper has been consuming Mr. Trump. He sees the calls for Mr. Moore to step aside as a version of the response to the now-famous “Access Hollywood” tape, in which he boasted about grabbing women’s genitalia, and the flood of groping accusations against him that followed soon after. He suggested to a senator earlier this year that it was not authentic, and repeated that claim to an adviser more recently. (In the hours after it was revealed in October 2016, Mr. Trump acknowledged that the voice was his, and he apologized.)

Didn’t Trump call that “locker room talk”, and did own up to it? So, are we looking at the NY Times again making up another source, and this didn’t happen, or was the tape actually fake?

Anyone know what is going on? It isn’t that Trump is suffering from bad memory, is it? He did say he has a great memory.

This is old news. The question of how that tape was edited has been in question since it was released over a year ago.

Editing is one thing. The article states Trump was questioning the authenticity of his voice on it. In other words, the article is saying that, this year, Trump was telling people that wasn’t his voice on the tape. It is one thing to do an edit, where you take out context, and make a voice say something it isn’t. It is another when you say the voice isn’t actually from someone.
