    Disclosure: I have been a NRA member in the past but it is currently expired.

    When ever leftards start talking about gun grabbing, b/c lets face it, that is what the really want.
    They always bring up the NRA boogie man.
    <leftard>
    OMG, nothing can be done b/c the NRA buys all of the politicians, OMG.
    </leftard>

    Yes the NRA is powerful but not b/c of throwing money around. They are powerful b/c of We the People.

    According to this the NRA doesn’t even crack the top 20

    This article from 2013 the NRA spent a measly $3 million in 2012.

    The NRA isn’t actually much for lobbying at all. They spent a mere $3 million on lobbying last year, and that was (unsurprisingly) a record year (ref: National Rifle Assn)

    In this article from 2011 the NRA does make the top 10 lobbyist and they come in at number 10. This means there are 9 others that spend more than the NRA, by a lot.

    Much of the NRA’s power, however, seems to lie less in its spending and more in its ability to mobilize its members, who are 4 million strong and well-versed in grassroots campaigning

    They don’t seem to mind Soros or Bezos or unions of all kinds, or other rich liberals or the abortion lobby buying politicians to promote their liberal agendas.

    Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

    seems to me coming in 9 out of the top lobby groups,
    still gives them a lot of pull.
    i’m sure they would up the ante if needed.

    Even if they didn’t exist, another similar organization would fill in the much-needed space.

    More than anything, I think they shatter the mainstream narrative and expose the truth on behalf of gun owners and people concerned about their civil rights.

    I’d say they are pretty much the expected product of a society that has a first amendment.

    The public voice is much more important than the money they throw around. I think the money, itself, is the political grease for the gun manufacturers.

    The NRA serves 5 million people, they are representatives not an all power force.

    Ever since Trump was elected the gun market has been a buyers market—selling prices collapsed; but every time the libtards start their caterwauling it shifts to a sellers market—fine with me; I’m an FFL gun dealer with plenty to sell and now maybe prices will rise and make it worth my while again.

    NRA is the most criminally stigmatized origination on earth!

    The f~~~tards bring up the NRA every time a non member liberal activist goes on a shooting spree with their illegal unregistered firearm.

    Only full collapse and mass starvation will weed them out!

    I plan on joining the NRA in a few years. I want to take those firearms classes and instructor classes so i can teach those courses. There is another firearms organization that is even more hard right than the NRA is, so if the NRA wasn’t around, someone would be doing it. Dems have been trying for years to take down the NRA, and it won’t work. NRA is still the only organization i know that has a national convention where you can open-carry inside the convention. No terrorist would dare show up at that thing.

    But they always seem to show up in gun free zones, where they know they chance of getting killed from a trigger happy American won’t happen. Imagine what would happen if they pulled that s~~~ at an NRA convention. How many magazines do you think would be emptied? LOL
