Those hole things they put in their ears are for the reigns to go through and hold the mouth bit in place. It’s all to make things easier when a woman rides her mangina to the ATM.

An article years ago said LAYDEEZ with tattoos are easier to score with and body piercings mean the same to an even greater extent.
They’re saying,”Take a second look, the price may be lower than you realize.”
I’ll take a third look and figure in the price of a lifetime STD, especially the deadbug.
In the meantime, what an accomplishment for her:
    Paid significant cash,
    sat still,
but I won’t bet that she shut up.
    She’s found a new friend i.e. NOT.
They are only listening as a captive audience while they are doing their “work.”
Workers in a service economy are usually crushed in a deflationary recession.

"It seems like there's times a body gets struck down so low, there ain't a power on earth that can ever bring him up again. Seems like something inside dies so he don't even want to get up again. But he does."

Whelp, it seems pretty much a consensus for get a nose ring is just to draw attention to yourself. I had to google it to see if there was some ancient significance…and there doesn’t seem to be much of anything but a few minor traditions.

As I said before, I don’t find any facial piercing to be attractive. Same goes for facial tattoos. Tattoos on the body are hit in miss, depending on how many, what the tats are, their reasons for getting them (if any) and if it fits their personality. I have a tattoo on my arm…used be considered a decent size, no kind of small by today’s standards.

I honestly don’t think most body piercings are unattractive by default. Belly button, nipples, clit, tongue…all ok, however, chances are the personality of someone who get those pierced (besides the button) is not going to be something I’m attracted to.

And I honestly don’t want to pass judgment on people based on these things. I spent too much of my life doing just that. However, it’s the first impression, and the behavior tendencies don’t bode well. And as far as fashion trends go, I suppose this isn’t the worst out there since it’s relatively small and the whole will close up after the next trend comes around.

    Ok. Then do it.

All a nose ring says to me is that she is well below my standards.
Nipple rings say something completely different, especially when they are at ground level due to gravity.

There was a time in my life when I gave a fuck. Now you have to pay ME for it

I don’t get the facial shrapnel. To me it just looks painful and kind of grimy, like having a bunch of zits or cold sores.
Really though, why not go all the way? Yeah, baby!

Yup, soon as I split from my ex wife she suddenly got a massive tattoo on her back.

I have noticed this massively in Australia lately, esp with women in late 40’s and split from husband once kids hit 18 y/o. Funny thing is the guys usually have a massive fitness regime post split.

I am FAR from being conservative outside of concern for how much money my government spends, and it is therefore purely for aesthetic reasons that I do not find piercings/tattoos attractive. I would agree that the more of either of these two things screams of A) I need attention. B) I am easy. Or C) I just want to display on the outside how f~~~ed up I feel on the inside. (this is the most common reason in my opinion)

Tatoos on men is clearly a tough guy thing, on women it is a tramp/injured thing. The gauging thing is a trend, and all hipster types will latch onto any trend.

Narwhal: I’m guessing that it makes your ex seem cool to the 15 year old girls at school to have a nose piercing. And isn’t that the most important thing in life, to be cool to a 15 year old girl? They don’t just run the school, they run the moms and teachers too!

I had to take my youngest to the mall last weekend to buy a pair of jeans for a dance costume. We were in one of the young kid’s stores, I think Hollister. Half of the people in their shopping were 40 something moms buying clothes for themselves. I just stood there thinking how pathetic it was that mommy was trying so desperately to cling to her youth, still trying to dress up like the cool kids in high school. Then I remembered I Live Again’s topic how about how everything on the outside of a woman is a lie: hair color, make up, fake tan, painted nails, push up bra, Spanks….

I will say it gave me a good laugh while my daughter was in the dressing room. I think it’s getting to see them about 5 minutes after they hit the wall, when they are stunned and not quite sure what just happened. Like in the cartoons where the birds are flying around their heads.

I believe it’s called denial, the first of the five stages of grief about hitting the wall. The fifth stage being settling in on the couch with Ben and Jerry (the ice cream and the cats’ names) and watching Sex in the City reruns in your pajamas, while looking over your head in the mirror to see your tramp stamp tattoo and remembering the “good old days”, wondering where all the good men went.

@taxguy Although your theory of wanting to fit in with the teenagers makes sense. It doesn’t fit her MO. She’s never had any issue relating to her students and never needed to try and imitate them.

I don’t even know that it’s worth speculating on the reasons why. My only concern really is how it might influence my 9 year old daughter. In the grand scheme of things, she is going to get lots on influences, good and bad, from all over the place. As a parent, I guess all I can do is set examples, and teach/encourage her to think.

    Ok. Then do it.
