Just thought I’d let you know about this genuine pearl of a series. Though I may warn you; later on he turns into a mangina, in the beginning he is awesome!

This is a very famous norwegian TV-show about the therapist specialized in couples councelling, Dag. He is a middle aged bachelor who likes to get home from work and shut the whole world out while he enjoys a whisky and some music in peace and quiet. At work he has an incredible success rate as he already in the beginning tells couples to just get a divorce and get it over with. As he says; “There are no compatible personalities, they always end up feeding and festering on eachother”

So the show is about a MGTOW who does marriage counselling? Is the main character who gives advice to couples not married and shows no interest in that?

Well, I can see it is possible that show will end up in the United States sometime, if someone picks it up. And if it is what I think it is, you will get a MGTOW centered TV show.

I think of the likes of Sam Malone of Cheers being along the lines of MGTOW. I recall one episode where he ended up doing softball against Playboy bunnies, and he was brutally competitive, to the extent where he wanted to win over impressing the women (Diane called him on that). I think of that as very MGTOW.

Oh yes, he is most certainly MGTOW in the beginning. But that changes; he meet this female friend of his sisters that is pregnant with the child of a transgender person, and embrace them both. As such I would hardly recommend season 2… This however should not diminish season 1 as the beginning is brilliant.

And yes; he is unmarried and show no interest in being married, or even in a relationship. His sister says in the pilot (on link) that: “a blind date does not mean showing up blind drunk!” (And yes; the crazy cat lady is one of them)

PS: and he has a PUA friend who manage to break up with his girlfriend as she is giving birth to their child. Later on he also manage to f~~~ a muslim girl to death in northern Africa. Hysterical funny!

Well it looks like still MGTOW, but maybe with some blue pill/mangina/white knight tendencies in season two. We all have to live and deal, so if that guy were real, I don’t view it any of my business what he does. And I am sure he likely knows more in that area than I do. But that is how I roll MGTOW, it is about myself alone mainly, and just trying to get through life..
