No country for old knights. A MGTOW Fairy tale.

(There has been some creative writing on here of late and I felt inspired myself. I hope this is the right board to post).

The gallant knight had slayed the dragon and returned to the Princess to regale her of his adventure. Little did he know that the Princess was the head of the Royal Society for the Preservation of Dragons. “You Monster!! Killing dragons like that! Go out into the country and do not return until you have done something worthy!” she berated him.

So the knight confused but not daunted headed out into the countryside. He came upon an old woman sitting beside a cart, the cart was lopsided due to a wheel coming off. The knight without being asked propped up the cart and fit the wheel back on.

“I could have done that myself you big ox! I was just resting, do you think I am useless?!” she harangued him. More confused but still undaunted the knight moved on.

Soon he came across a fair maiden who was being slapped around by a young man who was with a gang of thugs. The knight without being asked drew his sword and threatened the young man and his thugs with it unless they let her go.

“You big bully! He was ok, he was just into me. Why did you have to scare him off!” she bellowed at him.

The knight was becoming depressed at this point and a little daunted, but having sworn an oath to be brave and do good deeds he moved on.

He came to a hill and walked up it, once reaching the top he looked down on a town. There were fire breathing dragons flying above spewing flames upon the timber houses and cottages, people were running around screaming while the thugs he moved on earlier were robbing people amidst the chaos.

And then the old crone and the younger woman, mother and daughter as it turned out approached him. “Well go and fix that mess. Be a man” the old woman who he had helped earlier scornfully said to him. The shaming evident.

“Yeah. We live down there, save our homes, Knight” the young woman, seemingly oblivious to the fact that it was the very same thugs she had defended earlier who were now abusing people in the town.

The knight turned around and smiled at them both. “This is the world you all wanted. And I my good ladies, will leave you to it” he said passively as he walked away.

Thanks, glad you liked it. I wouldn’t have said anything either. But I liked how it made for a nice ending story wise.

Excellent, I love Happy Endings.

This should be made into a Children’s Book, with nice hand drawn pictures and be Mandatory reading for School Boys.

…and this fair maiden would have Pink Hair, lots of Raunchy Tattoos and facial piercings. Hehe, a nice modern twist.
