I get they switched Nick Fury in the films but that was for Samuel L Jackson who no one has a problem with as he is a great actor and fit the role(plus the comic films weren’t as popular back when he was cast if memory serves so they wanted someone with mainstream appeal).

Mary Jane in the new Spiderman film is going to be a black woman – WTF? The new Spiderman in Cap America CW was one of the weak links of the film and now they are casting a non redhead as MJ…the usual SJWs will lap this up, but Disney better start being careful with the Marvel films as they could easily go the way of Ghostbusters(or that flop Fantastic 4 reboot film) if they start pulling this s~~~ on a regular basis

It’s from Disney so I will not be going to see it. I will have nothing to do with anything Disney or any of them for that matter. I’ve no problem with Samuel L. Jackson being cast, but I’m sure the script will be dripping with SJW propaganda. I’ve no issues with them ditching a redhead anything but a redhead is OK with C-Pig.

the Marvel films have on the whole been pretty decent up to this point. I haven’t noticed any feminist agenda being pushed in any of the films eg Black Widow is the most prominent female hero but she plays more of a planning role rather than a “female badazz” one.

I just feel the films are about to go full Star Wars reboot and we will see a gradual decline in the quality. I hope I’m wrong but I am steering clear of the Spiderman reboot – the Toby McGuire films are the definitive Spiderman films (well maybe not the 3rd one…) so I will stick to them

Looking forward to the Black Panther film and Thor 3 but other than that I will only watch the occasional Marvel films from now on

I’m really dissatisfied with what Disney did to the Star Wars franchise. Hopefully, they won’t jack with the Marvel films. I just boycott anything Disney. They are a reprobate corporation.

I accidentally watched about 15 seconds of an ABC(Disney owned) sitcom before SJW offensiveness was spewed. With the mere touch of a screen, I was onto YouTube to watch a documentary.

You have to remember the demographics for Action/adventure movies to understand all this.

A/A movies are made with the 18-35 yr old MALE in
mind so what better way to get Lib Fem agenda
programmed into their minds than through this?

Spreading the message of inclusion and that females
are just as strong,tough,smart and don’t need us to get by.

I can see the effects in some of the younger generation I speak with,they think a chick beating up a guy is cool and funny.

It’s long been known that Movies/TV leave a subtle message in the brain whether you realize it or not.

Thats why the smart ones cut out TV,don’t watch modern movies and stay off social media sites,hell even most
news sites have a Lib bias these days.

The problem with all this is that when reality crashes through their perfect little fantasy world,most people won’t know how to deal with it.

True but as I have said on here before (others have too) that you risk becoming as bad as the feminists and getting a chip on your shoulder.

take Captain America or Batman v Superman that were released this year…zero feminism in (maybe the funeral scene in CA but it is 10 mins long and sets up another scene) and genuinely great films.

As I have said above; I see a downward slide on the horizon but most of the films released up to this date have been very good. Captain America; Winter Soldier, Avengers 1, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 1, Thor films – all great films.

I’ll add in the Nolan Batman trilogy – two classics and one great film. Zero feminism or at worst just throw away lines that you ignore

Actually, the actress is half-white. If the film does not make an issue of this. The character MJ slightly dark complexion can be chalked up to going sunbathing and she has a tan. It is totally within character for MJ to sunbathe. And that is the end of the problem.

I am indifferent with recasting characters as long as it doesn’t interfere with the core elements of that character. Being the first things anyone would say is a core element of mary jane is her red hair, you must absolutely make sure the actress can pull that off.

Nick Fury’s race really wasn’t a core part of the character.

As well, I wouldn’t through this on Disney, Sony is producing this. Perhaps Marvel is behind the casting, not exactly sure, but it doesn’t seem accurate to lump Spiderman completely in the same bucket as the rest of the MCU.

I wont give a single penny to Hollywood, I haven’t seen the new Star Wars, nor the new Road Warrior movie, nothing. O.K., maybe a few pennies, I did watch the LOTR movies in the theatre, but no SJW stuff in that…

This the last Disney works that were not complete s~~~ was the Pixar movies from the 2000’s other then Pixar Disney has been complete s~~~ for the past 30 years.

I haven’t seen the last two. Or is it the last three. Or maybe four or five. I don’t know. I haven’t bothered to watch any.

And it doesn’t look like they’re giving me any reasons to watch this one either.

I’m expecting any day now to hear some media pundit declaim how “american audiences are tired of superhero movies”. It won’t occur to them that they’re making superhero movies stupid.

On a related note, I see that they are remaking Ben-Hur. What the f~~~ are they thinking? At least they had the sense not to try making it Ben-Her.
