Like most newcomers say in their intros, I was shocked and amazed on surfing in here for the first time and realizing there is a community of us.
I have also been highly impressed with the superb level of reasoning, writing and rhetoric on display here.
You don’t see that in the business world anymore, and that is what interested me in the first place to poke around and eventually wind up here.
The economic, legal and business side of things and how that is affecting us as men is what has captured my interest lately. There are perverse goings-on going on.
As far as the obvious stuff goes, I’ll get that out of the way now. I have never been terribly involved with them. When sex comes by, I sometimes accept. I have never spent any time or energy on it. I think I was born with an elevated sense of suspicion about the vaginal hive. I have never bred and remember making that a concrete decision many years ago – just not worth it, even then.
Of course, 20 years later, it has gotten worse. The chief way many of us experience that is at work.
I am in the creative arts, we publish some obscure trade journals, do some ad copywriting, graphics, brochures, sales materials, etc. We are a small and obscure part of a very large and well-known company providing creative support to some of its other equally obscure manufacturing subsidiaries; none of it involves consumer goods.
But make no mistake when they talk about pay gaps and glass ceilings: women run U.S. business.
Few of them are creative or organized enough to found or develop their own businesses. But middle managers? The kind who supervise the day-to-day operations? Mostly women. Every department of our shop is run by one, as so are most of the assistants.
It really is the greatest business secret of the past 100 years – hire women, they are great scabs. Business owners learned this during the wartime labor shortages. A woman will work for half of what a man will. Of course, it takes a business owning man willing to slit the throats of other men to complete the transaction.
So now we have the hive running the daily operations. In my business, they are the most brain dead group of irrational people imaginable. Real creativity by any of the men, funny, or compassionate or even quirky, is censored out of existence. Anything touching or free-wheeling is savaged. They can’t stand the idea of someone other than themselves thinking up something clever.
So what passes for our work now? Basically anything one of the harridans saw on those disgusting man-hating daytime talk shows hosted by dykes. One will glom onto a theme of the day and all of sudden it is appearing in our work in some diluted form – a catch phrase, or a photographic motif, could be anything. Oh no you didn’t, girl! That made a recent appearance. Stuff like that.
And when one of them trots out crap like that, the other ones just go overboard. “She is so smart!” Like when they sit around drinking box wine telling each other how beautiful they all are.
Meanwhile, men who have put in hours and years interviewing plant managers and technicians and machinists to better understand the gear in question come up with real original content and images and it gets absolutely dismissed.
So it kind of p~~~es me off then they moan about how tough they have it at work. They don’t. Female scabs occupy way more than half of the administrative, HR, accounting and legal compliance jobs at most of the dozens of companies I work with in the course of a year, including our parent company and those of our nearest competitors.
Women graduates from business schools outnumber men by a large percentage, so there are just thousands of new scabs every year taking their seats in the cubes to churn out more spreadsheets and advance up the scab chain into middle management to make some poor man’s work life hell.
Legally speaking, the recent harassment thing just p~~~es me off too. Who said that whatever comes into your field of vision has to comport with your personal view of things? I mean, I am not into exposing my private parts and performing solo intimate acts in front of strangers, but that is a crime? What if I don’t like your smug, femi-nazi face in my field of vision? Is that a crime?
What about the drunk chicks at spring break pulling their shirts off? On that standard, women are by far the largest community of indecent exposers. I think we should get someone to go down there one year and film it and put in on the Internet and ask some of these social justice warriors what about my rights to not have t~~~ shoved in my face?
And of course, the double standard, the one so twisted it could only come from the irrationality of a woman. The standard answer they give is that sex is so sacred and precious and you don’t have the right to violate me and sexual offenses deserve higher protection under the law. But on the other hand, they also say we are useless rapists and who wants to have sex with you anyway?
Which way is it ladies?
Oh, I forgot. It is how they say it is right now, with the proviso they can change their minds at any time.
