Login in from desktop I got sent to another site to make a new password. Wtf is this legit or not?

Got the same thing when I tried to login on my phone. Got redirected to a new page asking me to change my password. When I attempted to do so, the new password is not applied and I was unable to login.

The answer, is no.

I’m not a security expert but this is suspicious as f~~~.

@keymaster would not ask you to create a new password in this fashion UNLESS he was testing the new ‘VIP’ site and made a goof.

Security PSA, always create unique passwords for every website you log into. If you use the same credentials over and over well, pizza hut gets hacked and now the bad people have your user name and password to your 401K account.

Most modern browsers have have some sort of password management widget so you don’t actually have to remember the password.

On the iMac I use built in Keychain.

Don’t understand that or see how that’s even possible. But NO, it wouldn’t be legit at all. This site /login page is 256- bit secure ( represented by a padlock in the address bar at top)

But if you clicked on the https://MGTOW.VIP link which I mentioned, (note the .VIP extension ) then that is our new development site – and yes, it is behind a password wall on purpose. This allows us to test the new mgtow.com site as if it’s “live” at another location without anyone seeing it – including search engines.

Otherwise, logging in here is totally normal and working as it should. Nothing has changed here except I did apply a few unrelated minor updates very late last night. They would not affect the login at all.

Everytime on other device i go to log in it keeps taking me to a page telling me to put in a new pass word .

If this device logs out i can’t get back in .

I am thd same jan . My other phone is doing the same . But i cant log in on it .

Afraid when this phone logs out i will not be able to get back on if it does the same

Just tried logging in on a phone and got the wordpress thingy asking to upgrade to a better passwords with 16 characters, symbols, etc..

I’m not going to try it.

Something like this happened on this site about a year ago, too.

Is WordPress associated with this site and trying to get their clients on a universal password?

Update:
I tried logging using an e-mail account earlier on my cellphone and then got the WordPress prompt requiring a better password.
I declined to update and could not log in on my phone.
Just now, I got an email in another email account saying a DIFFERENT device had logged into the different email account.

That device had gained access to my email accounts.
DO NOT ATTEMT TO UPGRADE YOUR EMAIL WHEN PROMPTED.
