Hey fella, hope you all been well ?

Any way I have been currentley been going though a life style change and just getting rid of some distractions in my life just to help me sort some stuff out and re orginize myself a bit better.

One of my freinds suggested the “spartan simplistic lifestyle” as one possible mind set and way of thinking.

Do any of you guys know of this one or maybe of an other idea set that could help me out with this ?

    Cheers guys

Cot in my office, eat sleep code, 7 days a week. Small place, no vacations kill all debt. But do eat well.

That is Spartan all right, except the part about eating well… From what I gather the diet of the Spartan adults was best described as adequate, although that may have been an exaggeration.

If you are going down this path, check out the Minimalists. I think the guy’s name is Joshua Fields Millburn. He has a pretty good take on getting rid of what doesn’t add to your life. Their website has a bunch of short essays so it’s easy to just read a few that look interesting.

A spartan home or work environment is different to a spartan lifestyle.

This can get confusing. The guys have suggested some great material on the spartan lifestyle cell I’ve will talk about the spartan home and work environment.

It is called the spartan environment when you minimalise unnecessary adages that you don’t use, are useless to you. But don’t remove things that make you happy just display them in a way that doesn’t encroach or obstruct your day-to-day living. A minimalist home and work environment can range removing stressful clutter.

This stressful clutter can include noise, smells and conversation that interrupts your peace and well-being. If you work in an environment that has continuous noise your stress level will go up. My suggestion is to wear full covering earphones preferably with noise cancellation that you can listen to a rotation of a rainforest and relaxing environment like beach rotating. Or if you prefer classical music anything relaxing. It cuts out work tension and can work at home as well if you live in the city if you play the same relaxing soundtracks on your stereo when your home.

Just remember spartan does not mean get rid of things you love it’s about getting rid of things that you don’t want or need all they are getting in the way of your psychological carm.

Well any one know a good process on starting the whole new way of this or is it just remove crap out of my life both literally and metaphorically?

It is “just remove crap out of your life.” The more you know, the less you need. That is the foundation. It will take knowledge and experience, but over time you will optimize everything in your life to only what you need. Start off easy and work your way down to harder optimizations.

You will find that all most people need is a knife, a lighter, a metal canteen, some cordage, and a good field jacket. The only thing to worry about after that is food. Understanding diet and cooking will solve that; I can eat healthy on $50 a month.

Not the official definition, but being able to move to a new house/apartment inside 2 hours, w/2 friends has always worked well for me. I don’t like material goods tying me down, either physically or mentally.

[Of course, travel time’s not included here; 2 hrs being time to pack up the van/car & unpack.]

Tool yourself up to tackle the maintenance of your life, if your spending all your money for others to do the maintenance on your home, auto, appliances, heating and cooling, or whatever Trickster the Gremlin throws at you!
While others are making arrangements to have something repaired, suffer the down time, do without; I’m solving the problem in minutes plus the time to attain the new part, and when a part is obsolete or out of existence, I duplicate it, or find a suitable substitute. I learned the art of fabrication from one of the worlds most knowledgeable in the industrial arts of planishing and body panel duplication, I have my own tools and I don’t work for the general public, my basement and my garage house my tools, therefore I pay no RENT, but have the convinces of full service shop and restoration facilities.
Learn how to grow food and basic gardening if your able depending in your own situation.
    Waste no time!
Chew, swallow, and s~~~-out whatever life throws at you! Don’t dilly around with your time! Throw down the toys and go to work on your self improvement, learn things, try not to rely on others as their usually not available as they have their own gremlins to deal with.
Life offers two choices, no matter who you are.
First choice: Be lazy and sluggish with a mind and life that’s going nowhere EVER!

Second choice: Push yourself to achieve, even after failure, get back on your feet, and pushing back twice as hard, that’s the only way to move 2 steps forward and one step back, rather than the slug’s path of 1 step forward and 2 steps back!
Life isn’t a f~~~ing joke, unless you make it one!
The sooner you see yourself as everyone’s disposable utility, f~~~ the nice guy routine, and get down to the business of running your life on pure f~~~ing mental logic, and making decisions based in such! The more you do this, the more you’ll become a dynamo of unstoppable force!

The p~~~ f~~~s of life will be like cattle standing on railroad tracks facing down a fully loaded freight train going 85 miles an hour!
This mentality, or philosophy, is the driving force of what freed me from the narcissism, s~~~ tests, and the whole mental array of insanity this society has adopted as normal!
My advice is (metaphorically) when you see a herd of cattle off in the distance, shovel coal and build pressure!

    Cheeky:

Go back to my first post and google them. They have a very good 30 challenge to get you started. I would say their website is a little more practical than philosophical, but they walk you through how they became minimalists.

TaxGuy: I wrote no response to your post. But rephrasing spartan lifestyle as minimalist does not constitute a new concept just a name change.

MG-ɹǝʍo┴: That was a fantastic advice. You put it into words things I fail to articulate. It is fantastic.

Do you mind if I keep it to reference you in the future

Hey Cheeky, you can reference anything I say, I’ve never asked KeyMaster for any retractions, even if I don’t like what I said, it’s important to stand on what you say, and not cower like a pussy. I know I can be obnoxious at times, and some of my life’s experiences do p~~~ some people off, I’ve admitted some of the mistakes I’ve in sexual morals, being I was the asshole sleeping with someone’s wife, and some of the guys here had wives that cheated on them, and no doubt it creates a little resentment.
It’s more important to expose the fruits of feminism rather than hide behind politeness and sparing someone’s feelings, I consider hiding the truth the same as treating my brothers like (as Mel Gibson said) “Mushrooms”, keep em in the the dark and feed them s~~~.
Especially the younger men here who’ve had their plates filled with feminist propaganda since birth! I’ve witnessed it’s progression and how far into insanity it has altered reality.

Take a peek at the Stoic philosophers…

THIS. I cannot agree more strongly with RoyDal’s advice.

Stoicism has been my touchstone for decades.

Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.

Thanks MG-ɹǝʍo┴; you have a lot to offer to men’s lives and philosophy. I also believe that if you did something wrong you apologise but I will never apologise for offence caused by back or truthfulness.
