So, as some of you may know, I’ve been working on a videogame recently, and we’ve been scrambling to finish it, and get some bugs worked out, and some aspects a bit more polished. Well, anyway, we were making good progress, until one of the team members got into a fight with his gf. For those that don’t know, game design can be very time consuming, and we’ve all been spending very long days trying to make it work. His gf is the clingy high maintenance type, and can’t stand that he’s not around worshiping the ground she walks on, and is actually doing what makes him happy.

So, a few days ago, she files a police report, says he’s been beating her. There’s no evidence of it, no bruises, nothing. And they interviewed all his friends family to see what kind of person he is. Well, he wouldn’t hurt a fly, but he’s a pretty big dude, so they assume he’s violent. Anyway, she had moved into his apartment, and now she has a restraining order on him. He can’t even go to his own f~~~ing apartment! So right now, he’s bunking with me at my place. She’s being a real c~~~ about this, won’t let him get any cloths or anything. I couldn’t tell you the exact legal jargon of what’s going on, but apparently he has to keep paying rent, he can’t do anything that would evict her, so she can just stay in a place that he has to pay for. They’re not engaged, or married, or anything.

So, we’re working to sort s~~~ out. I just wanted to post reason #098998098087887697698709879879879879 why you shouldn’t cohabitate. Apparently it’s some county law of all things.

And the funny thing? We’re still on track to release our game on time! Despite all her meddling, she can’t stop a god damn thing! We’re still working day and night to release and meet out release window, and we will make it. That’s what happens when men band together. Help each other out, fellas, especially when some c~~~ has screwed over a buddy.

1 tell him to stop paying his lease and advise him to pursue legal actions for a false report. 2 tell the rest of mgtow what game you are working on and the expected release dates for the game.

Stories like these blow my mind. You’d think the first thing the law would dictate when a woman gets a restraining order in a case like this is “Well honey, your name isn’t on the lease and his is, if you show up at HIS apartment again you will be charged with harassment, if you want the law to keep him away from you, you can do your part by staying away from him.”

Stories like these makes me want to have the least ammount of contact with women as possible. I mean, geez!! This seems like hell.

I hope everything ends well for your friend. Hopefully there is something he can do to bail this c~~~ and get his stuff.

I don’t know the law in this situation, but it sounds like this lady is considered to have tenants rights. The guy will probably have to get “lawyered up”. Not fair. Leave it up to an attention seeking bitch to pull this type of stunt. Thank God he was only cohabitating and not married. We all know not to get married. But your story demonstrates why we should not live with a lady either.

This issue is interfering with one’s personal life and living space AND his job and it’s progress.

This is why it’s always a good idea to make friends with your landlord. Your friend’s hands might be tied, but unless her name is also on the lease / rental agreement his landlord can, and should, kick her ass the f~~~ out forthwith.

Oh, and it goes without saying, but always make damn certain your landlord is male.

Properly it’s: “Never cohabitate with a woman,” but it gets tedious typing all that out every single time.

The three basic rules of Going Your Own Way are: never marry, never procreate, and never cohabitate. With a woman is assumed in each case, as you’re not likely to be able to procreate with another man, and until recently marriage wasn’t an option, either.

Male roommates are usually fine so long as they pay their half of the rent and aren’t some mangina.

RE: 1. This sounds good on the face of it, but if he defies a court order, then she will use it to make him suffer all the more.
RE: 2. This will require a lawyer. Ask same about (1) before jumping into that obvious trap.

If his mail goes there immediately have him temporarily change his address if he hasn’t done so already, that way she has no access to his mail or can use it as a means of trapping him with the restraining order. Does she work? If so, you and a few buddies find out when she is not there, get his key and move all of his stuff out. Make sure he has a catalog of his stuff and/or pictures of it so she can’t steal it or sell it. Have him notify all utilities that he is moving within 30-60 days and he would like the services shut off. It’s likely he’ll have a hearing on the restraining order, tell him he NEEDS a good no nonsense lawyer to fight for him, a good one will know all the legal language. If there’s a way that it can be recorded, get records of who she has visiting her and how many times and duration of their visit.

How do you keep a guy out of his own apartment? I don’t quite understand this. Unless, of course, they both ‘share’ paying the rent. I think this has more to do with the law than it has to do with the woman. Better get “lawyered up”.
