Greetings gents,
It has been quite a while. I have been at work for three months and the biggest issue I have is the fact I get angry when dealing with stupid idiots at work – I work as a Chemist in a factory.
The job is not the big deal, its the people. Interestingly, I have no issues with the women at work – Might have to do with the fact that I dress well, I am civilized (I do not smoke, I do not consume alcohol and that’s a rarity among the guys here, they all either drink and/or smoke), I am a foreign graduate and I have naturally stopped pandering to women since I became a MGTOW (Odd how that behavior makes women more drawn to you).
The men in question I am referring to are the working class types. These f~~~ers think they can push me around and make me do jobs that is not within my job scope, simply because I am new. Examples include going on a needle in a haystack search for good quality raw materials – For f~~~s sake, I am the Chemist, I test samples of finished goods and raw materials, I am not the material searcher. Another example includes making me the errand boy to deliver samples to potential customers (Once again, that’s not my job to carry request sample boxes all across the factory). To top it off, my male boss / head of department is an old fashioned tradcon white knight – So he mainly panders to the female workers and give zero f~~~s about the male workers.
So far, everybody’s advice (my parents, other colleagues) about these types of people is to just let it slide and ignore it. Yeah, but how ? Anger suppression does not work well. I want to do something to make this anger – Something constructive. Also, how do you all suggest dealing with idiotic men like these at work ? Honestly, being a MGTOW = good formal work relationships with women, p~~~ poor work relationships with blue pill tradcon working class men.

Then give your co-workers the freedom to be mad, upset, confused, disappointed, etc.

Anonymous11It is imperative for your own good that you show no emotions at work over this. You will get run over and booted.
You really need to establish some boundaries with these guys in a graceful manner. They are s~~~ testing you and probably trying to slough off work on you. Politeness backed by resolution goes a long way in getting people to cooperate with you.
Boundary Setting Example: Hey DS, we need you to do this. Your response: I am too busy to handle the request right now. Lie and say you are under pressure from some manager to get this out the door immediately and cannot handle it. It’ll be way more effective if you can use a manager or supervisor they hate.
Blue collar guys can be rough and being perceived as the educated asshole will backfire badly on you. I will say once they accept you. You will find they are generally good people. How do you think I’m getting my home repaired for 1/5 the cost of using contractors? I’m on good terms with guys in the trades. I’m bartering my technical chops many of which were learned in labs to help them with their problems.
I’m a professional type and never have problems like yours when working with them. They may think you are some college boy snob or something like that so make sure you are not carrying that air about you. I’ve even had some tell me I don’t act as if I’ve been through college twice. They do have a bias against those who went higher in education that does have a basis in reality.
The first rule of work is to make your boss look good to his superiors. If doing that extra work makes your boss look good then suck it up and learn to love it. Make sure you are not coming across as a snob to the blue collar guys. Learn to set and enforce boundaries in other words learn to say no in a pleasant manner.

They just envy you for your better pay (?)….
I’d suggest you something unconventional but something that worked for me.
Mirror.
Become like them. Become one of them. I know it’s very hard. But that will remove that ‘he’s the educated brat’ image from their minds, and they’ll stop messing with you.
We office guys uses to eat at our desks while the workers had to eat outside on their own mess hall, i.e., the metal yard.
Once I took my plate and sat with them. The metal did hurt but they all got to know I’m not the high and mighty brat they used to think I am.
You have to use ‘no’ and you HAVE to raise your voice just like they would do.

Exactly, the very same tactic women use against us. It works except I don’t do it with malevolent intentions. I have to kick into salesman mode sometimes to pay the bills.
Yes, I can be a total slimeball when necessary.
@varun I can feel your pain but here is some good advice…
1. Dealing with educated people (white collar) and dealing with blue collar people require very different skill sets. White collar people are more snobby and require more ass kissing if they are your boss, they think their s~~~ doesn’t stink because they come usually form more educated families that have more money so being a yes man is going to get you further. Blue Collar people are more into being part of team, showing good work ethic, and are usually more rough.. you should not be a pussy around these people nor should you be slacker. Also one of the biggest things to never do around a blue collar person is to show that you are better than them by bragging or showing off, this will not work well for you. Once they know you can work and show up on time they will make you one of their own.
2. When you work in a large company and are not in C level management or some other sort of mid to high level management you need to become the swiss army knife worker. What I mean by this is if a manager asks you to do something that is not in your job scope just f~~~ing do it. They will recognize this and usually reward it later on. If it is not your boss asking you to do something or the owner of the company respectively say “I would not mind helping just let me ask my supervisor first if it’s ok” which is way better than saying flat out no or actually doing it and p~~~ing off your supervisor. When people can count on you it tough or urgent times they will always be looking at you for promotions first and avoiding you come lay offs.
3. Be very good work friends with the gatekeepers: the gatekeepers are people (non management or otherwise) in the company that are in control of making things happen or not. A good example is your company IT team… they will directly help you with computer problems either quickly or not depending on how well you are liked which in turn will directly how fast you can get work done or not which directly affects what your boss thinks of you. Other examples of gatekeepers are you security teams, HR, production staff, etc. Be very nice to these people and help them when they ask if you can… As Tyler Durden said in Fight Club “We are your garbage men, your food servers, your cleaners… don’t f~~~ with us”.
I know you have rage but sometimes you have to suck it up and go with the flow, I speaking as once a manager in both blue and white collar positions I do not like people who are not team players or do not help with the job.
