    Hello,

I would like to pick your brains and get some free advice about the future of work.

I have a BS in biology and work in a STEM field. I am middle aged and can’t go back to school full time, I can’t go and become a skilled trade because I’m too old and set in my ways for that.

What can I do or learn today that will help me set myself up for a better future? What skills should I learn? degrees or certificate? What hobbies could I pick up to make myself employable?

How could I transfer my knowledge into a non STEM career?

    Any thoughts are welcome…thanks

1st. make sure your television is black! Look to U-tube about any trade on any level (you may surprise yourself). You’ll be surprised at how much science goes into the knowledge of any given specialized trade.
    2. Scratch all the mental itches that your mind produces all on its own, don’t wonder “how it’s done” investigate it until you understand all the answers.
    3. Never limit yourself with the mental laziness that comes along with contentment.
    4. Peel the onion of any given knowledge to the core!
    5. Don’t get into the habit of starts without completion!
    6. Never tell yourself you’re not good enough, I know with the knowledge and training I could do a heart transplant in a matter of months!
    7. Move past the frustration of inability and keep practicing until you achieve perfection!
    8. There’s nothing you can’t do! The only limitation is the necessary 500 years you’d need to learn absolutely everything!

    This worked for me:
I worked as a corporate drone until my income from rental real estate properties got large enough to keep me in a minimalist style. I used my drone salary to buy said properties. Now, I’m happy in a material sense, and I’m totally unemployed, other than the requirements I took upon myself, voluntarily, to collect rents and do upkeep.

BTW, If you think you own something, then see what happens if you stop paying mortgage or property tax: You will find out who really owns your stuff in a short jiffy.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?
