    Gentleman,

I’m 32 years old and I work in a minimum wage job. I made a lot of bad choices in my 20’s but the last 2 years have been amazing by comparison. Even though I earn a small amount of money I rent a room in apartment with another guy who is a mghow.

The apartment is awesome and I have all the tools I need for my hobbies and I only work 3 days a week and the odd night shift. I worked my ass off last year. Well over 60 hours a week just to get some savings. I have $2000 saved. Not much but its something. Since i’m never getting married or having kids and never not spending my money on a woman, I really dont have anything to worry about. With the s~~~ money I’m earning I can easily afford a motorbike which I’m probably going to get in the next few months.

I have a lot of time to do things I enjoy. So now I’m getting worried about the future and what I should do next. Most mgtows seem to be financially well off and I have some friends who are getting promoted and earning great money. Although they have women clinging to them for dear life since they earn half of what they do and some are even unemployed. I can already tell whats going to happen. I don’t envy that. It’s funny. Some of my friends said they never want to get married or have kids and as soon as they start earning decent money they are getting mortgages and their women have started losing weight and acting like they are these innocent angels. That’s crazy to me. If I’m single and earning that kind of money…

S~~~. A lot of my friends cant even meet for a beer without getting permission. They cancel at the last minute. They’re not even f~~~ing married. Sure they’ll have money but princess won’t let them spend.

    I’m rambling.

I’m considering going to college next year but it’s looking like I wont be able to afford it. I have to earn a living so full time college is out of the question. I was considering an engineering degree or computer science. Where I live there are no part time CompSci or Engi degrees. Even though I’m 32 I still think it would be better to get started now. Iv’e no idea if I’ll be employable.

The other option I have is to continue working on my music and try to sell it online. That’s probably not gonna make me rich. Or I could continue to learn programming languages which I started a few months ago and get a portfolio together. I’m thinking about how i could earn some passive income online and what could I achieve in 4 years in my own time instead of college?

Since Iv’e gone mgtow Iv’e realized that a lot of what motivates men is women. Why would I want to work 60 hours a week and have money and have no time for doing what I enjoy? I have time. Time is precious to me. But money is important too. I’m just confused about what to do next. I think I may have a status anxiety but I also feel free. I’m happier and healthier than I’ve ever been but there’s still certain things I have to plan for the future.

    Any ideas?

You can’t afford college?? My opinion is college tuition is an INVESTMENT, as long as you don’t get a degree in gender studies or snowman embalming. OK. Maybe college is not your bag. Can you afford a library card?? Amazon books – used? Read you ass off and self educate. Follow Stealthy’s program and learn to code on your own. Work from home or a beach with a laptop.

Just my opinion, but you don’t seem ambitious enough to invest in college. I know people have different standards, but the fact that you only have $2000 saved up, only a minimum wage income on 3 days a week, and you want to buy a luxury like a motorcycle? Doesn’t make sense to me.

If I were you, I’d consider 1 or 2 options. If I want to go the programming route, then work a stable job while you learn/train in your spare time. If you don’t want to go that route, find a job that has growth potential, and then work hard to climb the ladder. You may need to take classes on the side to get there.

And you said you live with a mghow. What does he say you should do?

    Ok. Then do it.

    Thanks for the quick replies.

I had a look over some of stealthy’s advice. I started learning to code a few months ago. I figured if I become proficient enough I could get a job in a few years. I’m also learning math on Khan academy and composing music which is my primary hobby. I take private lessons in that. I’m very frugal. I work in healthcare and even though I work 3 days a week and a night I get overnight and weekend rates. I work about 40 hours on average a week. I don’t make enough to save a lot but I can if I want to. I chose to work less so I can spend time learning. I wouldnt mind investing in college at all. It’s just that where I am it’s too difficult to work and go to college. I’d need a full time wage to support myself. Some of you are probably from the states yeah? Do you guys get college loans? In my country if youre not working at all for 9 months you get welfare to pay you a wage every week for returning to education and they will pay your college fees AND you will probably get a portion of your rent paid. It’s insane. I live in a welfare state but if you are working a low wage job you are pretty much screwed unless you live with your parents while you go to college. Thats not a an option for me. I’m trying to work something out for September 2017. I might be able to work something out.

I think keeping my job and work on the composing and coding is a good idea but I’ll prepare for college and try and work out if I can afford it. I don’t want to put myself in a situation where I can’t pay my rent while I’m studying. I’m looking at moving to another euro state that have better options for college.

As far as the motorcycle, Its not that expensive. Probably a 125cc-250cc. Cheap to run. It would actually help me get around and even if I want to courier.

Work side jobs, scour the internet for knowledge in whatever may interest you and create opportunities, knowledge is free on the web, sometimes it’s false or explained wrong, but there’s plenty of other knowledge to filter out a good understanding. Amazing times we live in, use your internet to advance yourself and not retard yourself like TV.

I agree. It’s amazing how much knowledge there is online. I’m not a dumbass so I know if I’m persistent I can make something happen. I’m enjoying my life at the moment. I don’t need that much cash now. But in a few years I probably will.

Man, just do what I am planning on doing. Make apps for the android mobile operating system, make a few dollars doing it and learning the ins and outs in the process. As you are doing it also, you would make your own portfolio of projects you would complete yourself and you would even use some of the money that you would be making to pay for an exam to be a certified android developer so that you would use your certification as well as all the apps you have completed to convince someone to give you a chance and make you their programmer for their projects full time but on a contract. This is like the cheapest way to become an employed programmer.

Ps.. all the clothes i have on today dressed like a prince…paid for with rent. Nice.

In the past, I thought that some people are too materialistic, but now I realize that you need to be a bit materialistic in order to show a bit of your good status in society and to get more people to take you more seriously which is going to help you in the future.

Don’t complain or worry; you’re at least working. I’m 33 and I can’t find a job no matter how many applications and interviews I deal with. Being autistic doesn’t help me either. I’m just one of those kind of guys who never can catch a break, and it’s these damn female managers who don’t know s~~~ about hiring are barricading me from landing somewhere. I HATE female management! I think I have better odds of landing a job if it was a man doing the hiring process, but when women get involved in the process, I can’t even to first base. When a man does the hiring process, I at least get to 3rd base.

I would love to get going back to college and do something either in computers or weather forecasting. I studied severe weather for over 25 years (since I was like 10 years old) and wanted to do something like that; work at ABC7 Chicago News at 4, 5, 6 and/or 10. Storm chasing would be cool, and hunt tornadoes. I never seen a tornado outside a TV before and I always wanted to.

I’d recommend taking a trade from a college course. A lot of schools offer programs that are between 1-12 months in length and once your finished you have a skill that can pay anywhere from 12-25$ an hour. It’s short and actually usually quite cheap between 400-2000$. And you’ll be done by this time next year at the latest.

They’re also usually part time so you can still keep your day job until your done.

You could also get a second part time job, or start a side hobby that can scrape up a couple extra bucks monthly.

I’d also recommend this. Either this, or you an go for IT certs which is what I’m doing.

Or, you could always go on Craigslist and do a lot of odd jobs on the gigs list.

If you want to go to college ask yourself this:

Are you prepared to take on a s~~~load of debt?like $60k+
Will you get a scholarship and not have to pay for it?
Will you dedicate the long days and sleepless nights?

The trade route sounds like a good idea. Look up the Mike Rowe grants for a trade. Plumbers make s~~~loads of money. So do electricians, welders, mechanics, etc. Hell a guy in city sanitation makes six figures with bad ass benefits.

But really it comes down to this, What do you want? A s~~~load of money isn’t enough of a good answer.

If it costs you your peace of mind, then it is too expensive.

Hey man I am in a similar situation, just that I’m living in my mom’s basement..not that I’m proud of it. So just like Narwal said that it doesn’t make sense for you to buy a motorcycle if you plan on going to school. You need to start saving every penny, and live below your means. A good book for you to read is Millionaire next door. No it won’t tell you how to become one overnight. It is all about what I mentioned before. Personally ever since I finished this book, my spending habits have changed dramatically. So you would have to have a choice between short term happiness such as buying a motorbike, or investing this money like planting seeds and see what you can make out of it. I am just starting out on this frugal living process, but the reality is that it doesn’t have to be a torture. Just make sure you know where your money goes to.

You mentioned that you make music? Well let’s hear what you have to sing? Maybe it’s good enough so that you can make some $$. You also mentioned programming? There is a website where you can get University/College level courses and even get Certification for a very reasonable price, if not free. Check it out

Jesus f~~~ing christ, tell me about it man! I have applied for every job under the sun at one point over the last 6 months, and either got a lame ‘thanks for your interest in this position but unfortunately’ template replies, or no reply what so ever, and its usually the latter.

I’ve also had dealings with job agencies and never again. What a vile f~~~ing collection of squirms. Having to communicate with condescending ‘c~~~sultants’ like ‘Pippa’ from Drain Your Life Resourcing and ‘Guy’ at F~~~wits Recruitment. F~~~ these middle men leeches, absolute scum of the earth.

The problem today is there are too many people and not enough jobs to go round. So for the likes of me, who, if i couldn’t find a job due to no fault of my own, and if I was in UK right now, would have to go to the Job Center to claim the dole, talk to some indifferent, smug prick and be belittled while i fill out forms to claim a s~~~ty 130 quid a fortnight. Then you have to turn up every two weeks to ‘sign in’ and give proof you are looking for a job. Meanwhile these dickheads do nothing to help you find work despite the place being called the ‘Job Center’. They just exist to circulate the benefits. A truly pointless, aggravating place.

If you’re a single mother however, they throw the money at you, give you house, you name it. Single men like us get f~~~ all in comparison.
