I’ve used the search to find out how you guys here think about (new) users replying in old topics, but all I saw was “necro, I know, but…”, afore the user started typing the rest of his post and wonder if it’s frowned upon (I’m a moderator on the largest Dutch forum and they generally don’t like it if it happens, unless you have something constructive to add), accepted or even encouraged to do so?
I’ve read lots of topics in the past few days and felt like responding to them, but I couldn’t because I wasn’t a member yet and later I couldn’t post yet because the 24 hour-waiting time to prevent spam.
