Anonymous7This past weekend has been the most enjoyable weekend I’ve had in a long time which consisted of me playing hours of video games. Excluding my health issues I am now moving towards a constant state of content in my life.
When I first went MGTOW I was watching all kinds of youtubers and getting extreme motivation but I had no where to put it. No real passion. I would just force myself to learn or start new projects in the attempt to validate myself.
At the end of the day I would feel more s~~~ and more worrisome. Which is ridiculous because I’m only 18.
I am going to go into engineering or computer science this year or the next but until then I should enjoy myself and not worry about being some multi millionaire because who f~~~ing cares.
Anonymous7I learned java, c++, python, and html in highschool its tough but enjoyable and I looked into that powerdnn from one of your previous posts, pretty nice.
Did you self teach yourself everything or did you got to college?
MPORTANT… NEVER TAKE OUT A CREDIT CARD.
Ive heard its good to take out a card to build credit in case you ever need it, no?
My parents pay for my car and insurance haha I’m lucky I just save.
MGTOW all they way no wife, happy life. Just having a gf is a f~~~ing chore I cant imagine having to live with that s~~~.
establishing good credit is important, and easy .
yes,(sorry code-man,) take out credit cards, then PAY them off ON TIME.
also, automatic deductions on things like car loans, etc will push your credit score to the top.credit scores are often run on job candidates..
higher score gets the job.
it means you manage your money well.
that says alot to an employer.
you may need a loan for large items such as a home ..
good credit will ensure you get the loan with no extra cost ( points added by bank ) ..
Anonymous42The whole banking system has gone f~~~ing haywire!
I have about 500,000.00 in real estate and total personal value. I have an 850 credit score! I was denied a loan due to a long stent in income(F~~~ED ECONOMY)
I was looking to consolidate and liquidate. My intentions were to pay the loan off ASAP and offering 10,000% in collateral! No loan, they’re happier bleeding me through credit cards! My future? SELL SELL SELL, GTFO! (get the f~~~ out), I’m bitten by the minimalist bug down to my f~~~ing bones! F~~~ THE BANKS! F~~~ THE BANKERS! F~~~ THE DOLLAR!
Knock down the little guys, and the big guys will only fall that much further and harder!
I can’t wait to hear the sound of banker’s heads cracking on the sidewalk like 1927!Yes, at 18, I wouldn’t stress over your career too much. And there is nothing wrong with code bunker’s approach, that isn’t the right way for every one. There are other ways to be successful. I personally don’t work when I’m not at work, with few exceptions. I honestly haven’t seen much benefit to it. It works if you’re selling your own product or your combining the overtime with some ass kissing…at least in the corporate world.
As for CCards…yes, you need them to build up your credit. Treat it exactly like cash though. My main card is with the same bank as my checking account, so it’s easy for me to see where I stand. There is never a surprise when the bill comes in and I never spend money I don’t have. Well, except for when I was married.
As far as ‘finding your purpose’ goes, I’m beginning to believe it’s overrated. I believe in meeting my commitments and obligations, other then that I tend to do what I want to do these days and haven’t seen any real negative repercussions.
Ok. Then do it.

Look for a card that gives some sort of cash back rewards as well. The card I use now is paying me 1.5% cash back. I’ve had credit cards since I was 16 and never paid a dime in interest on them…I simply pay my bill on time and in full every month.

Haha, I was denied a loan once from the bank I had an account with since I was a little kid even though I had an 830 credit score, current income and steady employment, and having told them I’ll put however much down I need to to not pay PMI as I had plenty of cash on hand.
It was ridiculous. I closed my account, drove 2 minutes down the road to the local credit union, opened an account with them, and they ended up giving me a better rate than the previous bank was advertising, and with the info I provided they were pretty much willing to let me borrow whatever I wanted lol.
It makes me chuckle a little considering how many people I know who find willing lenders with abysmal credit scores and laughable credit histories and bankruptcies under their belts…you’d think banks would be fighting over customers with 800+ credit scores, not turning them down.
Part of the trick is not letting a woman get her hands on your credit card

Which credit card companies are these? I don’t know of a single card issuer that doesn’t compound interest daily.

Think I did a thread on this. Women and credit aren’t a good thing, unless you are the credit company. More fees and fines.
I say, get a cash back rewards card and just pay the sucker off every month. You have to spend the money anyway for lights, gas, internet, cable, and water. Might as well get something back. I don’t spend a lot, but at least I get a free game or so every year. I know if I lived in the States and had a “normal” life I’d probably be getting back more than a video game or so by the end of the year.

1. Your purchases are a 25 to 30 day interest free loan, unless you don’t pay off your balance. Then whatever is left over is then charged interest.
2. Cash advances have a different rate and are charged interest as soon as the money is given.
3. Many cards, in order to get your business, offer rewards programs.

Lottery,

All I can say is search the core of your being for what matters, and you can treat the quest for meaning as a meta-quest. One advantage that tech has over other areas is you can just do the tech, and not have to deal with people. I mean, be decent to others, and deliver, and you don’t have to play a ton of social norm Blue Pill bull, and you can make a living for yourself.
I would say the search for a purpose/end is a big part of the going your own way.

Having money and a good career can give you a sense of security.
But in the end you’ll have to follow your own path, even if that means building a mini eifel tower or going to the north pole.
What makes you whole might not seem “respectable” or “productive” to anyone but if it’s good enough for you
it’s good enough for good.(as long as it isn’t destructive but you know that)Having money and a good career can give you a sense of security.

it’s good enough for good.(as long as it isn’t destructive but you know that)I would say it is beneficial to think about what the way is, and question when you see a bunch of randomly connected “I need to do this”. It is entirely possible that someone else put a desire or passion in you, that isn’t of your interest, and you carry it around.

You are off to a good start.
Keep women out of your wallet.
Don’t ever be in a position where you can be falsely accused.
If i were 18 again O Boy how I would avoid so many pitt falls that come with innocently trusting women.frankly my dear i don't give a damn
Aw man! You found your purpose? I still have mine to find. My real problem is that I’m not truly independent; living off on my brother’s earnings and not abe to get a good job or go to college. I’m looking for an opportunity to strike out alone and finally bcome independent. Only then can I think about my real purpose.

Thanks and no thanks! I just finally paid off my last credit card after I stupidly ran them up starting 20 years ago. Was about 45K in the hole and paid them off over the past 5 years. I am only keeping a small balance on one at the advice of my potential lender so that I can continue making payments (I may be buying a home, whole other subject).
