I wouldnt doubt to say most of us recall when we believed girls were worthy of our affection. Seeing them as adorable. A desire to hold them tight in our arms, kiss their cheeks and the backs of their eyelids while whispering how adorable they are in their ears.
We grew up with that s~~~. Have an innate desire to do that s~~~. But were faced with the f~~~ed reality: they no longer want it or deserve it.
My Pet Gold Fish
When I was a toddler one of my first “pets” was a gold fish. Brilliantly bright colored, stuck in a glass pot full of water. A pretty pet thats only value was aesthetically pleasing, grew boresom. I recall pulling it out of the water, so I could touch it and ‘pet’ the “pet” I had. What other purpose did it have?
It flopped, floundered, and died on the kitchen counter top. Being outside of its natural habitat, it couldnt survive.
That is how I perceive “modern” women. Look but dont touch. Smell but dont taste. Taste but dont bight. Bight but dont chew. Chew but dont swallow.
If Im told to appreciate or value something, then I want to enjoy its benefits. Not an endless mind f~~~ of toying candy in a jar.
We got a dog. She loved my affection. The fish f~~~ing died. But it died with me copping a feel.
Resident cynic.
The alternative though???
What if they truly were masters of demanding our affections and being adorable

and actually inspired us to want to love them because they had inner beauty that matched the outer aesthetics…
would we still be plugged in and blinded slaves?“Love has blinded You” Amadala -Star Wars
It’s all I could think about in that scene, along with the shallow back & forth of which one loved the other more, blah blah blah
Think I just regurgitated in my mouth a bit.I used to get offended with ” A man’s dog is his best friend vs a diamond is a women’s best friend”
Now I see the truth of it. I always thought a woman’s best friend was her man. Well, always hoped anyway, before I came to my senses. If Im told to appreciate or value something, then I want to enjoy its benefits. Not an endless mind f~~~ of toying candy in a jar.
A shame the truth isn’t that instead however.
Anonymous42I have a fish, he’s/she’s? in a 150 gallon tank with only 20 gallons remaining (It leaked) I don’t know how this fish is surviving? I do feed him/her? The water dropped below the heater and the filters haven’t run for a year! His days are numbered around here without heat. As soon as the cold weather starts he’ll/she’ll? be swimming upside down. How do I know that? When I want skiing for a weekend the house lost power, when I came home I had a whole tank of inverted fish, about half died. I like watching fish, it’s soothing….

My sentiments, exactly. The look but don’t touch reminds me of a small sign that was posted on a shelf holding glass figurines at a gift shop I visited. The sign said:
Pretty to touch; beautiful to hold; but, if you drop me ..then I am sold 🙂I’ll just leave this here…
And this:
