Yeah, I prefer PC, mainly play that. Grew up playing console as well. I build my own gaming PCs because it is cheaper, and you get better parts. I easily saved a grand with my current build over what Alienware wanted, Ibuypower, ect.
It’s a i5 6600k OC to 4GHz, 32GB DDR4 3600MHz, 980Ti OC 6GB, runs most games at 90-100 FPS Ultra at 1440p, whole build including monitor was right at $2,800. That’s a complete build, tower, everything. Obviously you save rebuilding with some old stuff, tower, monitor, ect, but I moved and wanted a really good PC, had budget systems most of my life. Last one was an AMD8350FX with 16GB RAM I built for 800, gave that to a vet friend when I moved.
Wow – great gaming machine – and with the 980Ti. You’ll have a few posts on the Computers forum I bet.
Cheers and have fun.

Anonymous1Welcome, man. You seemed very struggling with your study because of your condition. But you did well with the hiking and I’m sure it will do you good in the long run. Good luck with your study and your career afterward. We know you can do it
By the way, this is what a sub 9lb backpacking gear list looks like, in case anyone else here goes hiking regularly. This is for my PCT hike starting April 4th, will add microspikes and an ice axe for the Sierras, and a bear canister(unfortunately, required). But I won’t have to carry 14lbs of water anymore either, though(first 700 miles is desert).
