Alright Gentlemen, In this thread, we share experiences with political looneys, SJW’s will be heavy focus. I’ll start with a story that happened to me today. Head’s up, I’m an Aussie, so that might give you an indication of the views I expressed to this guy.
So basically, student elections are in season at my uni and although I’ve already decided who to vote for based on their merit as a student union, I am not immune from day-to-day hassle of being confronted by members of other parties. So today, I was trapped, I got caught out by a rogue question and couldn’t feign ignorance quickly enough. And so the following conversation ensued:
Campaigner: So, you look like a left winger?
Me: Yeah, Kinda
Campaigner: Mind if I ask you what kind?
Me: Yeah I suppose, I guess I just believe in upholding personal liberty for all people
Campaigner: Oh, so you’re a libertarian, are you a progressive
At this point I realised that I was in danger of getting a lecture from this guy for holding right-wing views, and I’ll admit to it, but I avoided it because it was Midday and I had other s~~~ on my mind.
Me: Well, I believe in the Free Market, I’m just sick of people telling me what I can’t buy and s~~~
C: Oh ok, well, I’m an anti capitalist. But my party is pushing for more progressive ideas in Uni.
M: …
C: So, we’re basically trying to combat Racism (This began a story of how he was at the forefront of a protest that ran head on with the Reclaim Australia Guys, who apparently were outnumbered, followed by a gloating session)
C: So do you think you’re convinced
M: Maybe, I still have time to think about it, but I’ll give it some thought.
(End of Conversation with pleasantries)Honestly, There’s so much progressive s~~~ going around campuses, and it’s bloody frightening that they consider themselves to be the moral arbiters.
So, have you guys experienced anything similar?Get the Fuck Up, Brush yourself off, and stand against the current
I’m an American and I also attend a university. A couple of weeks ago we had some insane Christian guy invited to come to the campus. Now when I say crazy, I’m not bashing the Christian faith. I truly mean crazy, like westboro baptist church crazy. Apparently he was screaming at people that all the gays are going to hell and what not. Of course, my university sent out emails praising themselves for inviting someone with a different view then themselves onto the campus. They set up safe areas for people afraid of mind rape and other stuff to. Anyone who falls for this is being short sighted. They don’t care for opposing view points. If they really cared, they would get a Christian that seems rational and could calmly explain why he believes what he believes. They brought in a crazy guy so that they would minimize the risk of any students buying into it while still giving themselves an excuse to send emails praising their “open-mindedness”. This is school also forces all freshmen to take an online course to teach those big bad penis owning neanderthals how to not rape women and censor peoples language. I’m just glad I live off campus.
Anonymous42The Nazi party started out much the same way, in the 1930’s they encouraged the youth with manned glider competitions where designs were flown and tested. A strong and radical sense of nationality and superiority were instilled in the children and young adults. Eugenics and racism became like a national religion, Just like the radicals of today they sought only to pervert the truth for Nazi propaganda.
You can’t convince a feminist of the truth! All you can do is let her burn along with the society she and others collectively transformed to a living hell on earth!
Feminists would rather burn history books than to read them!
Feminism is another one of this world’s classic waves of tyranny, and like any wave of tyranny, in the end their will be much suffering and death.
If you don’t believe it, then you’re probably living in a slaughter house and cant recognize the smell of blood…I’m an anarchist, or at worst a minarchist. That shuts them up straight away, so far outside their belief system that their software usually just crashes. It’s hilarious, espicailly the door to door guys that only show up when they want something (i.e near election time).
The universities are always the testing/breeding ground. Always.
We only dream this bondage. Wake up and let it go. - Vivekananda
“Progressive” has been a euphemism for “communist” in the US since the Woodrow Wilson administration, which was 100 years ago.
Thanks to Lucifer, I just added “minarchist” to my vocabulary. I have strong minarchist leanings myself, now that I know what the word is.
Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

I guess that makes me a “NONEARCHIST“……

This word is new to me too. I often consider myself an anarchist, but realize that the state of anarchy is impossible or at least it would be impossible to sustain sense eventually someone strong would come along and create a state. I’ll have to research miniarchism.
Unfortunately, most -isms have lost their original meaning and the majority of people have no clue as to what they mean. Also, there is added confusion when the same -ism means different things at the same time in different parts of the world. The only 2 that have remained somewhat clear are communism and anarchism, both of which are the most difficult to achieve and have had the shortest time span when they were implemented/experienced.
It’s sad to see that while we are able to transfer scientific knowledge from one generation to another, we seem unable to do the same with social/political knowledge and experience.
I too am on the libertarian/classical liberal side of things, but sadly, it seems that the most ‘stable’ systems have been socialist/fascist systems. This could be because of the natural tendency of a majority of humans to be lazy(physically or mentally) leaving the minority of highly productive individuals at their mercy. So, this combination of ‘free popular’ elections and wealth redistribution seems to be able to maintain itself the longest. Of course, even these systems collapse when the productive decide to go Galt, or when they become ‘regulated’ out of existence.Wonderful thread for the Political Corner and great replies so far guys.
Edit: First I heard of Minarchism too. New word for an old concept. Just goes to show that we need to come up with new words all the time since current definitions are always being changed by the “Progressives” and the media.
The answer is NO. “I could but I won’t”. Memini murum!
That’s a new word for me too, thanks. I’ve been sympathetic to anarchism for a long time, but hard to see how it could be pulled off successfully long-term.
OP – You remind me of my student days at Sydney Uni in the 90s. Nothing much has changed by the sound of it.
