I feel like organizing a Gay Pride march though that area of town.

I actually dislike the terms ‘homophobic’ and ‘islamaphobic’.

Is Saudi Arabia ‘christiaphobic’? And why is the latter, not even a word?

I think secular apolitical block watches are great. But security sponsored by religions? Or political organizations? Hell no. Why? Too myopic in its views, not evenhanded. I posted an example of Jewish shomrim abuses; I expect the same from Muslim patrols. WHY do I expect it? Because countries with Muslim religious police trample civil liberties… allowing schoolgirls to die in Saudi Arabia is only one example of many that I chose to cite.

I have no ‘fear’ (phobia) of Islam. Rather, I have a disagreement with political Islam and Islamic extremists… just as I have a disagreement with the views of extremist Jews and Christians.

I have friends and colleagues who are moderate Muslims. And I have no issues with them. Islam is not monolithic, any more than Christianity is. Even so, a significant fraction of Muslims support terrorism and ideas anathema to Western civilization. 6.5% of Muslims feel 9/11 was completely justified. 36% do not condemn 9/11. 8% support ISIS. Islam has never had a reformation. 35% of Muslims believe the penalty for leaving Islam, apostasy, should be death. So looking at numbers like that, really this is like f~~~ing Medieval Christianity.

In many Muslim countries, religion is tied inextricably to the State. This has been detrimental to freedom and economic development. Look at Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan. Long ago, Islam was more tolerant than Christianity. Now it is the opposite.
