Music can do wonders for the soul. Like many people here I have been listening to a variety of music in my life (for over 40 years since I was a kid). Listening to many different types of music and seeing live musicians as the decades passed was awesome.
At times of suffering and illness in my life (which I am going through again) music has helped to relax me and keep me positive. As years passed in life I gradually found the benefit of living a more spiritual and more disciplined life – I am a MGTOW monk again. I currently like listening to spiritual/relaxing music.
(This thread is not intended to be a debate about the existence of God or the Soul.)
I was raised Christian and have been interested over the years in spiritual teachings from various locations and time periods in human history. This basic message that we are spirit souls in a material body (or integrated with a body) is taught in the holy scriptures and ancient texts of Christianity (the Bible), Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, Vaishnavism, and Vedism (for example in the Bhagavad Gita), as well as in other spiritual traditions.
These teachings contain commonality aswell as differing definitions and approaches nevertheless they all teach that we are not simply a body. I also believe that we are more than a body – that we each are a soul living in a body – to quote a song by the band The Police “Spirits in a Material World”.
Music with a spiritual message? lets post here. Cheers !

Anonymous1This is a positive song, I use to start my day.
If it makes you feel free, stable, in control (not of others but) of yourself, then take it in.
Know when it is your duty to give them zero explanations for your actions.
As a guy trying to be a little more spiritual (not religious) with my lifestyle, some positive music here and there is really appreciated. Thanks for the post and the links!
We just don't realize life's most significant events while they're happening. Back then, I thought, "Well, there'll be other days". I didn't realize that that was the only day. - "Moonlight" Graham

George Harrison did that the best in my opinion, I remember when it came out in 1970, some songs bring you back to a time long ago now dissolved. There was still men around raised by real fathers but the divorce epidemic took off a year later in 1971 after no fault marriage divorce.
The SPLC (southern poverty law center) was founded less than a year later, they’re a group of lawyer c~~~s that have judged and deemed us a hate group, and by their acts help censor and silence us from existence.
The gender war is REAL gentlemen, suit up!

You are welcome JB. Imho whatever works for you IS good. In my limited experience simply listening to spiritual music can have beneficial effect on my wellbeing.
I am not a member of any religious ‘institution’. Imho there is definite difference between ‘religion’ and ‘leading a more fulflling or beneficial spiritual life’. Though they can overlap imo one certainly does not need to be member of a religion to reap the personal benefits a more spiritual life.
Imho God or spiritual life is not an ‘institution’. Anyone can worship or give thanks to God (that wishes to) from any location – mountain, a church, a temple, riding a bike, or even while singing while cooking dinner 🙂
Imo a religious ‘instition’ can be overly controlling and subject to incorrect/misinterpreted dogma and members can end up ‘institutionalised’. Institutions large or small can be overly controlling and sometimes maybe run by or infiltrated by narcisists and controlling personalities that can sometimes cause serious damage to people.
Whereas (imho) a persons spiritual life should be not restricted or hampered by incorrect dogma or narcisistic personalities……it should be a life of freedom and guided by spiritual knowledge and practice enabling us to make wiser and more intelligent choices that are uplifting to the soul – we are here to flourish, succeed, experience joy, and learn from our natural mistakes – in essence I see spiritual life as compatible with MGTOW life.
Though I am not a member of any religion I do adhere to practices I find beneficial that I have learned from scriptures and texts and I do associate with like minded people in this regard. Peace.
