I swear I started a thread on music a while ago but I couldnt find it. Anyway…
I love rhetro music. I recently heard a band, and maybe Im late to the party due to my preference for rhetro, that I thought was really good. Their music to me is a throw-back to me of the 80s style. The intro is a little slow, but thr chorus/harmony MUCH more makes up for it. Here it is, and if any other music lovers have any contributions Id love to hear them:

You know what realky sucks? Is when you truly appreciate an artists talent and then discover their “message” is so politically and racially vile! I found this song, and thought it was f~~~ing fantastic. But when you look at the political and racially divisive message it sends, its hard to appreciate it. I can still appreciate the music; but then again – who knows what mother f~~~er “produced” it with computer enhancing sounds. What a shame the “arts” are so liberal politically leaning. Its sick. Good music though.
Btw I NEVER saw the video or read the lyrics until I just now posted it here. Having seen it, I dont appreciate it much at all:

Well, here is one of the original vintage bands Ill never have to worry about feminist/sexist/political BS. Loved them since I was in highschool. Just dudes being dudes:

I hear you AW. I have songs & artists I like. Music has helped me often in life, when going through tough spots as it were. Every time I start trying to look into it closer, I almost always learn s~~~ I wish I would have stayed oblivious to.
I still enjoy the songs & artists, but now it’s got a taint to it.
Sad really, like this song. I like it …but the message blows.Every time I start trying to look into it closer, I almost always learn s~~~ I wish I would have stayed oblivious to.
Completely agree. I guess sometimes ignorance is bliss. I still appreciate some artists and separate their art from their message.
Below is a collage of different artists renditions of a song I f~~~ing love. A happy go lucky song. Hope it brings you guys some smiles as well, it always brings a smile to my face; btw, for FULL VIEWING PLEASURE:
Please enjoy the breeze off of the Pacific Ocean in your face, a sip of strong rum, and the puff of a strong smoke or cigar:
Pressure Drop; Original Band: Toots & Maytals:
Here is the FINAL rendition that I know of. Song went from original black/reggae roots; covered by British punk band “The Clash”; to covered by British Skaw band. All of which are GREAT versions:
