I have been offer a great opportunity for a job that cannot be pass up. I am going to move to Savannah, Georgia in a couple of months. Anyone around Savannah, Georgia that can give me some pros and cons about the state? I have been in Cali my whole life. Thank you.

If you are outside the city and in a smaller town, you’ll find that southern hospitality isn’t a complete fiction. Also, people love guns, which coming from California may come as a shock.

Never caught a fish in my life, but will have to start learning to fish since I have no one there at all. Gotta make more hobbies if I want to survive being alone there. I heard that racism is Still alive and well down south. Is it true?

Savannah is a great city. You will never want to leave.

Great fishing. Barrier islands everywhere, like Tybee Island (a small undeveloped old school vibe).

Tackle and ammo can. You’re gonna love being out of California. Like C-Pig said, humidity can be an issue for most but can be adjusted to just like getting acclimated to a new climate. The more you’re outdoors the faster you’ll get adjusted so FISH, FISH, FISH and enjoy the range of firearms you’ll be able to own w/o stupid key button magazine releases or magazine round capacity limits lol. I lived in NorCal(Fair Oaks, CA) for 8yrs. Left 3yrs ago and never looked back. Told everybody I knew there “f~~~ off.”
It depends what you define as “racist.” Most in California have a skewed definition of racism.

You’ll know the areas to avoid whenever you see them. Yes, the crime rates can be compared to much larger cities. That being said the really bad things usually only happen to really bad people.

Just like every place, we just gotta learn to avoid the bad areas. My family was the one who brought up the crime rate. They are annoying the s~~~ out of me at the moment. I hope it is a good place to live. All I have heard is how no one wants to live there. One last question, are there a lot of Asian people in savanna? Thanks
