My first nominee is “Jeremiah Johnson”. The main character, portrayed by Robert Redford, was the epitome of a MGHOW/MGTOW. He was a mountain man, a hermit who turned his back on society and its conventions. He was accountable to nobody but himself, living by his wits, talent, and whatever resources he had on hand.
Yes, that’s one of my favorites.

Swallow this RED PILL ===> Men will lay down their lives for their brothers, their women and their children. This makes Men useful as slaves. Women will lay down their lives for ONLY their children. To expect more from women is just a FANTASY created by society and reinforced by the unconditional love that we experienced from our Mothers. The key to freedom is the understanding that the woman you meet is not going to fantastically love you like your Mother did. If you buy into the fantasy, then she is your new master. If you do not buy into the fantasy, then she is nothing, and you retain your freedom.
“Patton” with George C. Scott.
“The Godfather” trilogy.Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?
Oh errm, the very first character from the world of movies that crosses my mind would be “Snake Plissken” in the film “Escape from LA” since in the end he fooled everybody by shutting down the whole planet’s electricity not caring jack sh** about the consequences. Now, whether or not his motivation might have still also been to save the president’s daughter (as one side effect) from the lethal electric chair just prior to execution remains an enigma to me, but regardless (that wouldn’t be fitting to his otherwise mostly stone cold character anyway)…
I'd rather die a natual death with a clear MGTOW conscience somewhere off the grid than one within "modern" civilisation with a big stress mark on my forehead and a couple of dozen tubes plugged into my body. Back to the plantation..? Me..? Hey, literally: I won't ever fucking kid myself...YZERLMNTSIC
Another that came to mind this morning was “The Wild Bunch”, which had an impeccable cast, including William Holden (who often played MGHOWs), Ernest Borgnine, Warren Oates, and Robert Ryan (also known for such roles). The gang stuck together to the end, even during the final shootout.
Since Quarter Wave Vertical mentioned William Holden, I thought of The Bridge on the River Kwai. I haven’t seen that one in a while, but it’s one of the best.

How about what could be the ultimate MGTOW flick: Road Warrior? Max was a combination of Jeremiah Johnson and Snake Plisskin, plus he drove a mean car for most of the movie.
Casablanca – Humphrey Bogart
Maltese Falcon, Treasure of Sierra Madre, High Sierra – Humphrey BogartThe Great Escape – Steve McQueen
The Dirty Dozen – Lee Marvin
The Guns of Navarone – David Niven
High Noon – Gary Cooper
From Here to Eternity – Burt Lancaster
Bridge on the River Kwai – Holden & Guinness, listed yesterday.
Most of these were made in a bygone era. All of them are about those days. I can think of plenty of flicks made since 1970 that I like. It’s hard to think of one without a “women are better than men” subplot. The Lifeguard is one.

Anyone else looking forward to the new MAD MAX movie? The trailers are excellent. Coming out in summer 2o15. Just the art direction alone….. looks like it will be a visual masterpiece:
I second the excellent lists from above, but the most “MGHOW” movie that had me cheering was “WANTED” with Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy. Don’t much care for gun-slinging women in films – especially Jolie – but the transformation of the beta (who’s best friend is f~~~ing his c~~~ of a girlfriend – and his JabbaTheC~~~ feminist boss) is a money shot any MGHOW can appreciate:
If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.RoyDal:
Yup, Bogie’s movies were some that I thought would be suitable for this list.
Another user on here mentioned how Batman is a MGOTW so The Dark Knight trilogy. Also the 80’s and 90’s movies if you want to count them.
Well lads, I could easily think of another movie “Good Will Hunting”… Ok, ok, not so much the whole movie for obvious reasons (since at the end the main character Will is still getting hooked up to his girl; bleeding Hollywood happy endings, grrr…) but the breakup scene with Matt Dillon is such a classic one (oh, and the film itself also features dear old Robin Williams, bless his heart):

Conan the Barbarian(1982)- Classic Hyborian age mgtow philosophy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PQ6335puOc
Beavis and Butthead: do their own thing, consequences be damned, and yeah, they spend an awful lot of time chasing pussy, but their mgtow attitude is the very thing that keeps them from getting it.
Just watched “Blue Valentine”, and also “Up In the Air”. Both show how men are just discarded when the crazy starts.
Both are worth a watch. Clooney’s character’s philosophy on marriage is awesome. White knight gets his face smashed in in blue valentine.

Cool! Way cool! Bringing back Thulsa Doom will be something of a trick, since Conan beheaded him in #1. I suppose some sorcerer could work some evil magic.
