DAMN just a month ago the whole nation was lighting up about mother’s day. Folks selling everything under the sun. Father’s Day come around not even a person on the local corner selling a I love my father keychain

Consider the following.
On mothers day, what do people do? Generally they go out for a nice dinner, right?
On fathers day, what usually happens. The father ends up running the grill for a cookout, making food for the day he is supposed to be appreciated. And guess all he gets is nagged at about how he’s doing it wrong.
Sounds a bit cynical but holds true for most fathers day events I’ve seen.
Hope that someday I may lead others the path I have learned. As Virgil led Dante through Hell.
I have felt that for years there has been a subtle (lately not so subtle) movement to abolish Father’s Day. Certainly the feminists want this and I think also many retailers are falling in lockstep so they don’t risk losing that all important woman purchasing power.
Back when I was married. On Mother’s Day, mom wanted a day away from the kids. Hang with her friends, get a massage, something to pamper mom. On Father’s Day, the point was for me to get to spend a day with the girls being a father. Take them and go do something fun. Meanwhile, mom hung out with her friends, or went and got a massage…
You get the idea.
Order the good wine
Lets abolish marriage first.
Murph ~ There is nothing brave or manly about entering into a contract with somebody which allows them to take your money, assets, children, and decades of your future income on a mere whim.
Lets abolish marriage first.
The men here already have.

”My father didn’t tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it.”
Dad was very happy just knowing that I had become a Man in word and in deed.
Much much better than a key chain any day. Hearing positive comments is worth much more than having anything that very few others see.

I saw an article about manufactured backlash against Target for selling “Baby Daddy” father’s day cards. That was about it so far lol.
Fathers day and Mothers day are mainly commercial occasions. I know we like them (some of us some of the time anyway) but the hype is not from the people but from business.
Business advertises when it knows it will get money. Who spends money? Women spending on themselves and men spending on women. Women are the backbone of our consumer society. If it is not about them, there is not a lot going to be spent, so there will not be a lot advertised.
A woman is like fire -fun to play with, can warm you through and cook your food, needs constant feeding, can burn you and consume all you own

I hate both days. Why should I be forced to see them on that day? I see both of them s
at least twice a week.I’m going with my Dad to a Eagles concert on Friday, with no women (Mom).
Just us guys. I can’t wait.
Young men need to spend more time with their fathers, and I’m making the commitment to do the same.
Fuck bitches... literally and metaphorically
There is a father’s day beer run coming up on Father’s day in Bradley Beach in which Fathers and Sons can run together for 2-3 miles, then they go to the new Bradley Brew Project (a brewery that recently opened) and they get a flight of drinks. The beer at the Bradley Brew Project is really good, Fresh from the tap, no bottles, no cans!
Marriage and Divorce for a man is like getting a cactus shoved up your ass. It’s painful with all the spines that go in and it is painful getting all the spines out, meanwhile Wifey gets most of the money, your home, your kids, and practically everything you own.

The srmons are blatantly different, disrespecting fathers. Mothers Day sermons are 100% positive, how tough they have it, how underappreciated they are. Fathers day sermons are be a better dad, dads arent perfect but still try to love him anyway, etc.
P~~~es me off.
Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

Since I first became a father, about 28 years ago, Father’s Day has been the most depressing holiday for me.
