Ok, it might start out of necessity .. you need to cook a few things now

but, very soon it evolves so that these same guys are tweaking those meals.. just the way they like them to be.

It doesn’t take long, either, soon you are easily creating new favorites in the kitchen, and also, .. on the Grill.

Given the current situation feminists have taught girls that cooking is akin to slavery and learning to cook should be shunned, I would believe that most men in general are better cooks than most women.

Here is an article on a related note:

    Correct.

And many guys from earlier generations taught their wives how to cook. my dad did. because he had to learn taking care of multiple brothers and sisters.

I would like to make something very clear.

You don’t have to be Wolfgang Puck. You don’t need to be French. You don’t have to go to school. You don’t even need books.

You can be a cook at Taco Bell, or the place down the street called Haviar’s. DO you know what a good cook can do with Beans, cheese and sour cream and a tortilla? Miracles. Arguably, its all men working in the back. (One of the reasons I love Hispanics) It’s all attention to the little things that matter.

Food is not just something a machine spits out. Or even the quality of the cook itself.

    It’s the love of cooking.

Arguably, did your mom make you really good food as a kid? Does it really matter if it was not made the best, or had the dash and flash of a geometric precision? Presentation even?

I would like to offer you the best Disney has ever produced imo on the matter of cooking.

I cook, or I don’t eat. Love my slow cooker for soups and stews, hated split pea soup growing up but now it is a mainstay in the winter.. Grilling burgers, dogs, even fish, though I am not good at long cooks on a bbq. I have even got down a respectable microwave mac and cheese.

And even adding things you like to the pea soup, like sauteed sweet onions, potatos, whatever floats your boat, 🙂

I definitely was more of a cook than the ex. My first ex was a bit better. My girlfriend is on par with me as a cook, so it is hit and miss.

All my life I've had doubts about who I am, where I belonged. Now I'm like the arrow that springs from the bow. No hesitation, no doubts. The path is clear. And what are you? Alive. Everything else is negotiable. Women have rights; men have responsibilities; MGTOW have freedom. Marriage is for chumps. Cooking is largely a matter of being prepared to learn the basic skills and being willing to put the time in to shop, cook, and clean up. Most women today are lazy, don’t want to do the work and get a simp to pay. Guys realize that eating out all the time gets expensive, so they cook as a practical matter. I don’t mind cooking and enjoy the healthy food I eat. It’s better than crappy fast food also a hell of a lot cheaper than going to restaurants all the time.

My Ex was a horrible cook. Once she asked my sister for a chicken pot pie recipe. When we went to eat it the chicken was raw. She didn’t brown or cook it before putting it in the pie. My sisters laughed about that for years.

When we were dating the Selfish One told me she was going to cook me lasagna. My first meal she ever made for me.
I get over there and see a box on the counter. It was a prepared meal in a cardboard tray. I should have run…. for many reasons.

I cook all the time – it’s the details. I learn more and more every week about cooking. For example – never buy grated cheese! They coat it with a chalky substance to keep it from clumping and then it doesn’t melt evenly.

Last night I made homemade chicken soup. It took a while but damn. It was great and I’ll eat off of that for a few days.

Yeah, I love a huge pot of hearty chicken soup Either cook the chicken or get it from Costco (can’t beat price, but need to drain the salty liquid, skin and deboned it), and then add either an assortment of noodles, beans, or veggies with barley. Add a few spices (but no salt to keep the sodium lower than anything made commercially), and it tastes great with plenty to freeze.

This subject has been brought up quite a bit and what always runs through my mind is that a long time ago, I knew some women who were very good cooks, but they were always the old ladies. The best chicken and noodles was always cooked by an old lady. I used to think it’s a dish that every woman knows how to make. I asked my x one time to make me some. What she made was watery and bland and a great big disappointment. I told her, her feelings got hurt, I never asked her to cook another thing. The good old lady cooks have died off and you see what we have these days.

I’ve learned to cook my own chicken and noodles and it’s just as good as any other I’ve ever eaten. I start by boiling a whole chicken in Swanson’s chicken broth with just a few simple seasonings like salt, pepper, garlic powder onion powder……. The whole chicken, skin, bones and all is the key to get the best flavor. I’m too lazy to make the homemade noodles, but to me, the frozen ones in the green package are just about as good. It’s not chicken soup. It’s the old fashioned thick chicken and noodles, more like a stew.

Hell, I’ve even learned to make Raman noodles taste good. Just made some last night. I melt in Kraft singles to make a bit of a cheesy sauce along with a little Tabasco sauce and cumin and some fresh cracked black pepper. You wouldn’t believe how good those Raman noodles are.

My ex actually COULD cook… her specialties were PBJ sandwiches and Kraft macaroni & cheese. Also, she made some mean mashed-potatoes-from a box.

If you think about it, being a good cook requires the right material, the right tools, and the experience/skills to put it all together. It’s the same formula for any man who builds something…anything for work or hobby.

    Ok. Then do it.

This has also got me thinking about biscuits and gravy. You can’t get good white gravy in a restaurant, because it’s always that nasty powdered s~~~. There’s only one place around here that actually makes it from scratch and it’s still not as good as homemade. It’s such a simple thing to make, but it tastes so damn good, my stomach is growling right now just thinking about it. All you have to do is cook some breakfast sausage and I always add bacon grease, because the sausage grease alone doesn’t taste as good. Then add some flour to make what a lot of people would call a rue. Add salt and pepper and then slowly add in some milk and crank that heat up and keep stirring until that gravy thickens up and pour that over some biscuits and man, that is some of the best food on the planet. Woo-ee!

We’re talking about all this good food and I can’t have any of it until my new fridge gets delivered on the 18th. My current fridge went to s~~~ and I’m living out of coolers with ice right now with very little room, so no milk, sausage or biscuits along with a lot of other refrigerated items. I’m stuck eating out for most of this week, with the exception of last night’s gourmet Raman noodles. LOL

I’ve always enjoyed cooking and have been the one doing most of it in all past relationships. My kids don’t know the term Mom’s Cooking, for them it’s Dad’s Cooking. Since I’ve been living on my own I do all cooking obviously. In addition, doing the keto lifestyle you’re pretty much forced to eat 99% home cooked meals anyway, which works out perfect for me.
I bought a huge stand up freezer and take advantage of sales at the supermarket and of course Costco deals. My meals are all planned out and very satisfying.
No nagging about “you never take me out anymore” and that kind of garbage. Just to give you guys a perspective; my last girlfriend had a tin pallet to the tune of thinking that the Dorito shell tacos at Taco Bell is the best thing on earth. I mean WTF!?
I rarely eat out and my waist line and wallet are in prime shape because of it.
Gentlemen, learn how to cook, embrace it and feel the energy surge in you, together with the testosterone.

Anyway communication, real open communication, is not wanted or even required in a relationship. Women cannot handle fully open and honest communication, plus most perceive it as a weakness on the part of a man. All that is required is catering to her whims, and even then nothing is certain. There is no way to be sure of having a successful relationshit with a woman. MGTaoist

It isn’t that difficult. If you’ve never even fried or grilled a hamburger before, that might be an easy place to start. It’s all about the same from there. All you’re doing is adding heat and seasoning. When I was learning, like anything else, I made some mistakes, but you can learn from mistakes.

Get a crockpot/slow cooker at Walmart. Just throw in some veggies and meat and leave it alone either overnight or while you’re at work. Couldn’t be much easier.

Unless they are stay at home traditional women, you pretty much do not have a prayer she is a good, regular meal cooking woman.

I learned how to cook at the age of 12 and took 7 years of cooking class between middle school and high school and I don’t regret it. I make my own meals 5 days a week (fish, lots of chicken, salad, pasta) and my dad makes meals for both of us on the weekends. It’s a good thing that I have good cooks in my family. My parents and grandparents always did a great job with what they prepare.
