Well… if I remember 2008 (forgive me if some of these are off base, but it’s memory…) the male swimmers had a shocker (mainly because they believed their own hype, I suspect), the men’s hockey unexpectedly lost, Michael Diamond choked in the gold medal round after shooting a world record in the qualifiers… sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Sport is one of those rare arenas where a woman will push herself like a man and not just make excuses (no woman won a gold medal at anything by blaming the patriarchy). The problem comes when they start saying, “I’ve trained as hard as a man, therefore I must be just as good even though my results are well behind theirs”. That’s a fallacy.

what annoys me is women’s tennis. It is a load of crap and they play for far less time than the men but demand the same pay

Firstly I have great admiration for anyone who excel in any sport.
However aiming for parity is simply another feminist delusion. As far as I remember to qualify for the Olympics you had to achieve a qualifying standard. You can’t just make this happen. Disparity in all countries is more likely to be the outcome. I remember a Saudi girl ran in one event, much to the delight of feminists. She was so far behind, her time was no where near the expected standard and should have not been there. More likely a finger to the Saudi elite.
To say they train as hard as the men is actually demeaning to women as it suggests they usually don’t bother. As another poster stated it is one area they are trying their best.
I used to be a decent county runner in my day, although you would never believe it now. Managed 13:48 for 5k.
I remember at track events the boys encouraging the girls and vice versa.
Has this also turned into a gender war or is it the media stirring things as usual.

Women are so bad, if they changed the law so I kept the house, I still wouldn't marry one. I'd rather be homeless.

I don’t watch the Olympics,todays games are all about money and marketing with the International Organization of Criminals pushing their brand on unsuspecting countries for a two week party that leaves them with a decades long hangover of debt to pay off.

Look at poor Rio for example,it’s a s~~~ show at best,everything seems half assed,their economy is in the toilet but hey it’s the f~~~ing olympics so lets throw all logical,rational thought to the wind and invite the world to party,even though we can’t afford it.

It took Montreal 30 years to pay off it’s Olympic debt,
I believe LA in 84 was the only modern Olympics games to make a profit and thats only because they had the corporate sponsors from the start.

I could run near women’s world record times in track in the 8th grade. Who even wants to watch women’s sports???

Well, if they are hot I am into it, but sadly the higher level the female athlete, the more male qualities she exhibits, therefore it is really a competition to see who is the most male of the females. I am not saying there a no good looking great female athletes, but this generalization holds true for sure. Take tennis for example, Serena Williams looks like she does steroids. Does anyone wonder why she is so dominant???
