There’s these tests you can do called EQ tests, or Emotional Intelligence. It’s the way you deal with stress and problems basically. The calmer you are the higher your score will end up being. Out of curiosity I answered every question as if nothing at all ever bothers me and I attained EQ Einstein level.

The problem of course is, not whether things bother you as such but whether you have to put up with them in the first place. So that is what this reminds me of, the old Gentleman trap, great if everyone around you is also a Gent or a Lady but if not, then you are in for one hell of an arse raping.

The later, most probably. The rules make way too much emphasis on political correctness and chivalry.

But this isn’t a list of rules for being a Real Man. This is a list of rules for being a “Kingsman Gentleman”. Whatever the f~~~ that is, we know it’s not the same thing as a Real Man, because no Real Man would stoop to be a king’s anything. A Real Man is his own self, and nobody else’s, beholden to none.

Interesting, Experienced. It looks as if some Hollywood writing hack found a copy of a Victorian-era Gentleman’s Code and cut it down to appeal to the ADHD crowd while adding a dash of fashion-based consumerism and a metric ton of f~~~~~ry. Of course the Tribe that runs Hollywood recognizes no ethnic affiliation and honor systems other than their own.

Let me see, I’ve got a copy of Bartleby’s on the shelf I can check for one of the originals. There should also be something on-line.

Be warned, it’s long and seemingly deferential to women. You need to remember that women and their innate hypergamy would under great social constraints during the period so women were “earning” the respect the linked Code affords them. Also, while such respect only really applied to middle and upper class women, gentlemen often extended the Code’s precepts to lower class women who weren’t obviously whores.

Edit 2: I wonder if the Code with modern explanations might be suitable for the file library here? The deference towards women found in the Code can easily be dialed back or stripped out entirely.

I liked the movie Kingsman , but it was pure Hollywood bulls~~~ if taken literally like that code. That is a recipe for getting walked all over in current society.
