I actually watched the video.

It’s basically him saying he knew he was attracted to a child, but he knew if he did anything it would hurt her, so he left town and got away, became really depressed etc. and has resigned himself to living a life alone and never having a family.

The problem is more that he’s open about it, but he hasn’t actually committed a crime, so I dunno. Kind of a pointless video. This is more of the SJW slippery slope thing, where they’re first trying to make this acceptable, so then they can bring something worse in. You guys are right to want to cut it off right away, so I don’t really know how to deal with this thread at all honestly.

I haven’t watched the video, but based on Phoenix’s summary I don’t read it as SJWing as more a cry for help, this guy knows he has an urge, that that urge is wrong and has willingly put himself in a position where he is no longer able to act upon that urge. Can something be done to help cure him? I don’t know, I’m an engineer not a headshrinker, if it can be done it needs to be but if not his self imposed exile needs to be formalised and he needs to be put somewhere far beyond his ability to ever act on that urge.

I am sure there are many people and even a few of us who have had the urge to commit illegal acts at some point, hell in this thread alone we have multiple people advocating the cold blooded murder of a man who distasteful as his urges may be has not actually committed an illegal act, there is a world of difference between having an urge to do something and actually acting upon that urge.

Make no mistake, my belief is that it is not, has never been and never will be acceptable and that anyone, male or female who interferes with kids deserves nothing less than to be publicly eviscerated, but if we’re advocating dispensing pre-crime justice based on people’s urges we’re talking Minority Report and the thought police, people being arrested and punished for simply fantasising of for example punching their boss in the face or sleeping with the cute blonde they passed in the street yesterday and while I for one do not want pedos walking the streets I want that even less.
