Many of us are at the end of our ropes when it comes to women, we’ve spent weeks, months and in many cases years trying to live our own life. There’s a girl I met several years ago, we shall call her Debra for arguments sake. Debra was one of those girls who has a unique talent for getting under my skin. She wasn’t the worst girl I got involved with, not by a long shot but she did cheat frequently and in the end finished with me by simply ignoring me for several months despite shameful and pleading messages by yours truly trying to figure out where she had gone and if she was alright.

Fast forward some years and she bursts back into my life. She tells me without even a hint of shame that she still has feelings for me and whats to work things out. Now many of you will read this and understandbly reach for those red flags to start waving. Ah but I have not gotten to the best part yet. Turns out in her long absence and apparent remorse for leaving me, she has gotten pregnant by another guy. THEN met another guy and got married to him.

So whilst she is spewing her undying love for me I am reading her Facebook posts where she tells the world how lucky she is to be with her HUSBAND. Needless to say I repaid her in kind and went dark. Shutting off my social media accounts. Ah but that’s not the end of the story. Seeing I am gone she then tracks down my Skype account. I shut that down.

And today, some months after I finally thought myself rid of her, she emerges AGAIN. She had managed to find out one of my more obscure email accounts and has been bombarding me with emails. I was stunned. I won’t list every email but here’s one example, just to give you a taste:

Hey ‘Vassago’. I went to send you another message today to check up on you and I saw you deleted me from Facebook and Skype. I hope I didn’t do anything to upset you, but I also understand our friendship causes emotional strain to you.

I hope you can understand my concern for you. I wish we could stay friends, or you at least give me a heads up that you don’t want to be a part of my life anymore.

I really hope you are alright. You deserve some happiness, I hope you are getting it out on your island in the middle of nowhere.

Either way, it sounds to me, from her previous history, that YOU may just be one of MANY that she’s attempting to bring back to her lil web of deceit.

Relax. Take a vacation, even if that vacation is at home and alone (this can be enjoyable). The tide is turning. Feminism is losing influence in society.

It was by pure chance I was checking my email account, the accountant had sent it there by mistake. That’s when I was presented with a ‘glorious’ array of emails. But you are absolutely correct, clearly after me for more than my charm and good graces. I haven’t replied and have no intention of doing so. Though from past experiences I doubt she’ll stop at trying to contact me. It’s especially difficult for me because A) I still have a lot on my mind and a lot I would like to get off my chest and B) I have this irritating compulsion to have the last word.

All that being said I intend to keep my mouth shut, my head down and keep my tin hat firmly on.
