So this came out today. I wasn’t planning on getting it, haven’t played any of the series before aside from a short demo, and some Easter egg bosses in one of the Metal Gear games. I had bought the Senran Kagura spinoff for the Switch early this morning and it was shorter than I thought it would be so I was craving something new.

Figure I’m not far but as of now it’s been fun, if not a bit confusing and messy but still certainly playable. Hate to make the comparison but it feels almost like the combat from Dark Souls, mixed with some elements from MGS3, and more general RPG stuff. I can see it possibly getting stale after long enough but I can always take a break.

Anyone a fan of the series? What are your thoughts on this one?

ACG did a review on it, I reckon you’ll get a good idea from him on Youtube.

I never played a MH game until this one and my friends bought it for me because I was not going to pya $60 for a games I didn’t like. I was surprised how much I have enjoyed it. Its a very grindy game and the combat can be annoying to get use to but after you do you will find some fun in it if you enjoy grinding out armor sets and weapons.
