    So Monday I get to run a meeting where I will be presenting a technical overview of a project that I am working on getting setup then the females will be mostly taking over.

    I thought it would be amusing because they will have to sit there the whole time while I “mansplain” everything to them. Even though one of the target audience has worked on this project WAY longer than I have.

    Any other ideas to make it more amusing? The experienced one is proclaimed feminist. I thought to somehow work “mansplain” into the discussion…

    Too obvious–but I have a suggestion:

    When you get to a part of the discussion YOU KNOW the “expert” knows little or nothing about—ever so politely “hand off the baton” telling everyone she can elucidate the details further. (Which of course she can’t do, and everyone will be treated to her squirming and double-talking nonsense.) When a sufficient amount of embarrassment has been inflicted you take up control again–thanking her for her input of course.

    Next at the conclusion–ask for questions and be certain your answers are SOOOOO technical no one can understand the answer but do it with a very slight air of condensation; like “OH so I have to explain it again because you didn’t get the first time”. You do this by prefacing your answer with “as I explained ….” OR yes that is a great point BUT and explain how incorrect either the premise/conclusion is they used. Women HATE to be corrected; and really hate it when done in front of peers. But keep it cheerful and polite…like you are REALLY interested in helping them.

    OR if you are really brave ask THEM pointed questions about your lecture explaining that you ever so desperately want to insure everyone understands…

    Winding them up is both pointless and unwise.

    Better to reflect quietly on the fact that when you have handed it over, got paid and walked away, the c~~~s will f~~~ it all up.

    I’m not new to this, and I’ve been around long enough to not give a f~~~. Up to and including not giving a f~~~ if they want to fire me. In the past I have actually put that in my annual review.

    I have worked tangentially with the females involved for a few years now, and at no point have I had any non work related discussions.

    I am just thinking of ways to amuse myself at a more sophisticated level of trolling. Mainly because I was annoyed by having to explain very basic stuff to someone whose job title should have meant they already know these things.

    I have no intention of walking in there and yelling out,
    “Since you dumb broads aren’t in the kitchen, I will explain things to you!” It will all be technical discussion only.

    PistolPete’s idea has definite possibilities, that can be implemented in a way that wouldn’t reflect on me at all.
