A recent cringeworthy moment was when Robert De Niro walked on stage during the Tony Awards and said, “F~~~ Trump.” Why would that be an appropriate thing to say to a studio/television audience? Did he care that children could be in attendance?

It would be nice to watch an awards show on TV without some famous artist criticizing politicians. To me, it’s a tacky thing to do, and it distracts viewers from celebrating the achievements of artistic people (which is the main purpose of the TV show). If you are an actor, musician, writer, etc. you are welcome to have political opinions, and join whatever political party you want—but I wish you would make public criticisms about politicians during a news conference or ON YOUR OWN TIME. And it also doesn’t make sense to blacklist or ostracize a fellow artist because (s)he has a different political opinion or voted for a presidential candidate that you don’t like.

Why not put politics aside for a day, and focus on entertaining your audience? Besides, making political divisions does not help gain television ratings (to sell products so the event can get financed). You job is to entertain during the expensive air time that’s been paid for by advertisers. You can rally the public to vote for someone during your free time and on your own dime.

All it will mean is the death of award shows. Don’t watch them any way.

What makes me sick is that these individuals have the wealth and forums to use alternative strategies. If you are De Niro take an ad out in the NY Times, Start a f~~~trump.co, website. By a bus and tour he country and book stadiums to get your message across. Social media etc.

You either do this to prove that you are part of the current in crowd and worthy of acclaim and future roles, or as an attempt to revitalize your career by being provocative to as large of an audience as possible.

Or you may do this because you are an utter ass who cares nothing for others … Narcissism – another by word for actor!

He just made himself look like an unintelligent ass. The standing ovation made all those sheep look very pathetic.

If they hate President Trump so much, than Deniro and the rest of those people should all move to North Korea and try saying “F~~~ Kim Jong Un.” Maybe then they would learn to appreciate Trump.

Di Niro is cool with Israeli spies operating in the U.S. but not cool with Trump? Come on Robert, Trump is just doing whatever Netanyahu tells him to do, what’s the problem? We are still in Syria and have reneged on the Iran nuke deal… Oh, he doesn’t want to have a borderless country so you don’t like him…So, he is not doing as Leftist Jews in the U.S. want him to do so you, like the rest of Hollywood are attacking him… I see you are like most Jewish backed/run entities in the U.S., you want one set of rules for Israel and another set of rules for the rest of the West because Israel sure as f~~~ ain’t taking in any refugees, and you and Hollywood sure as f~~~ ain’t pointing the spotlight on Israel’s behavior in regards to Palestinians and refusal of refugees displaced from WARS THEY WANT… All coincidence I suppose…

I can’t find the clip anymore on Youtube, go figure, but Di Niro said he was cool with Milchan being a spy during that interview where they are both on the couch together. Treat those who pay you well I suppose…

Oh, and by the way, that guy ^ Milchan is very tight with Netanyahu, so tight that he and Netanyahu have been at the center of a corruption scandal in Israel.

Di Niro also respects Israeli “Aggression”, but clearly does not support the same attitude for his own country, no, he wants us to go Left in all ways, yet applauds Apartheid Israel for their Ultra-Right behavior and looks the other way as far as the eternal theft and killing of Palestinians.

They are people who pretend to be other people. That’s it.

This does not qualify them for anything else.

Of course, politics is just show-business for ugly people too.
