One of the comments I saw, was a woman saying the following:

“She’s a desperate mom in desperate times. The children weren’t beaten. They were eating, had shelter, maybe she felt they were safe enough to go find more food for them. We need to embrace the poor and help them. Not presume they are drug addicts. She just needs a hand up. Maybe someone to help her find a shelter where she and her children can have a hot meal, a bath, clean clothing and a safe place to sleep. This is what’s wrong with America. Instead of judging, maybe sit down with someone in a sad situation and just talk to them. You’d be surprised what you might learn.”

I’ve heard the misuse and abuse of the word “judging” for so long now that I cringe when I hear someone say it.

How many more cases like this and the other recent cretin must there be? How many more children must suffer and die before the legal and justice systems recognise that the mother is often not the best parent to raise said children?

Dirty dry ramen noodles from a cup with no access to fresh water is not keeping your kids fed or cared for. She had enough money to dye her hair an ugly shade of red but not to get her kids some carrots or something. It’s summer and she didn’t even try to grow food! The most telling part was not allowing the kids to go to school where they would have access to clean water and food because she knows the kids would tell on her. It’s neglect painted as “poor, desperate mom”.

Some people deserve to be judged harshly and some don’t. This one deserves what she gets.

Had this been a man he would’ve been drawn and quartered. I’d love to see a woman going after a man for child support get awarded enough to supply minimum shelter, clothes and food. Seems that when a man’s check book is involved, they raise the requirements bar substantially.

Feminism isn't about equality with men, it's about leverage over men.

I once heard of a custody case where a judge, after awarding the mother, said to the father

“You don’t see a calf running around after a bull.”

I bet those poor kids would have loved a bull to run around after. Said bull might have kept that nut job cow under control also.

there are plenty of places to go to get a hand up. the problem is they sometimes test for drugs.

I bathe in the tears of single moms.
