Duckboat capsized in bad weather. Apparently half of those people don’t know what a life jacket is or how to put it on. Children also died.

It’s sad of course, I’m not robbing it of that. This is a truly sad event.

    But you have to ask:

Why the f~~~ can’t you people swim, tread water or float on your back? Answer: Too f~~~ing obese.

Why the f~~~ weren’t these Children wearing life preservers? You god damned idiots.

In other news, women with pink hair waiving signs reading ‘BAN DUCK BOATS NOW’ are loitering outside our nation’s capital. Because of the extreme heat wave, numerous pink haired obese women suffered heat stroke and had to receive medical treatment. A firetruck hosed the beached whales down so they could continue their protest against DUCK BOATS but unfortunately the water was too much and some of the protesters drowned. A new group of protestors is now waiving signs that read, ‘BAN FIRETRUCKS.’

Jeez Carnage, dial back the black pill dude. F~~~ing children drowning bro, are you a robot? You seem to have no empathy, not even a shred of humility. Just saying.

The travesty in this story is that LIFE PRESERVERS preserve life (go figure).

Why the hell weren’t those people wearing them? Every dead body better have a life jacket on it, that is my opinion.

LOL, okay all is forgiven. However, I would not laugh at the kids. Fat and old people that can’t swim and drown, okay, they had it coming. But the kids, that is just sad. And if you’re too fat, that a life jacket wont help you, that is your own damn fault.

    I swim laps every day.
My children started swim lessons at less than 1 year old. They learned to paddle and kick to move toward the wall.

We had a backyard pool and the family had a lake house with boats.
On the boats and the dock, all the children had to wear life preservers at all times, one kid per adult.

My then 5 year old daughter fell between the boat and the dock, the straps made it easy to grab her before she rolled under the dock or boat.

    three rules for water survival

    roll on your back
empty pockets and take off shoes
relax and hold your arms and legs out.

How many of these idiots drowned holding their cell phones up out of the water taking selfies or movies. When floating, lifting your arms out of the water makes you lose buoyancy, and you sink.

oh, the sides and top were covered. they couldnt get out, I assumed open top and sides.

Teaching a child to swim is paramount. When on a lake, you wear a freaking life preserver (or you have enough on hand that every person has one). Its the law.

This tragedy should have resulted in ZERO deaths. Who is at fault? The parents and tour guide captain.

A life jacket should be so buoyant that you could literally sleep in one, in the water and have no issue.

Your personal health standard, you should be athletic enough to be able to tread water for 30 mins without the aide of anything (especially a life preserver).

What’s even more pathetic is that the boat apparently was taking on water due to rough weather so there was warning of potential problems. How can one not realize that taking on water is bad and that putting on a life preserver would be a good idea when the boat is almost swamped?
Why weren’t the passengers ordered to put on life preservers? This looks like a group Darwin award to me.

the boat was covered on 5 sides. someone with a pocket knife cutting the canvas top would have saved them.

I don’t think it went down like that. I would be surprised if they found any bodies inside the sunken craft.

As it took on water, general panic set in. Many tried to stay on the boat but eventually you have 30 people all in the water holding on as it sinks. Eventually they all let go.

At that point, you have 30 people in the open water. You can bet your ass that half of them can’t tread water for s~~~, are obese and/or not wearing a life jacket.

There probably was some type of attempt to put life jackets on the kids. But my guess is they didn’t have enough to go around and I’d reckon the life jackets were really s~~~ty quality.

Given the high waves and wind, a child in the water with a life jacket on (a bad quality life jacket) they have only minutes to be rescued because they’re panicking and they are struggling to stay afloat while the jacket is becoming water logged.

The more obese and older adults automatically drowned in the first 20 mins with no jacket.

The ones with a jacket probably made it another hour and many of them were probably saved.

I’d like to meet the adults or kids who survived with no jacket, and they just tread water until rescue, hats off to them if there were any.

Anyway, I’m as eager as anyone to know the facts. I want to see pictures of these people. I want to see pictures of the life preservers and I want to know how many of them there were.

You know most of those kids will grow up to be the same fat f~~~s that you dont care about now?

Empathy? What does that even mean?

Why is ok to not give a s~~~ about adults, but is ok to give a s~~~ about kids who will become adults?

Is just about the shadow, no one wanna recognize his shadow, no one want to say I AM AS BAD AS THAT OTHER PERSON.

Well i am my shadow, im not like everyone, im worst and the more carnage i become, the more i like my self

I AM AS BAD AS THAT OTHER PERSON.

I get it. I understand the psychological point you’re making. Me, being a former combat Marine, believe me, your nature is well received and appreciated most the time. We appreciate you have the nerve to say what many are thinking but won’t say. You take unapologetic to a lethal level.

Why is it ok to not give a s~~~ about adults, but it is ok to give a s~~~ about kids who will become adults?

That’s a great question. And you’re right, most the lil’ s~~~s will indeed, grow up to be s~~~ heads. I think its because the adults had their chance, lived their days, made their ‘choices’ whereas the kids are still a clean slate with potential we’re uncertain of. The kids still have a chance at living life. The adults already lived it.

The other reason, even the most unrelenting blunt person usually finds a soft spot for kids is because kids are not fully developed so they can’t defend themselves against natural forces or predators yet. They have a legitimate disadvantage.

It’s hard to not give a s~~~ about a dead kid who drowned in a lake because even if he was a great lil’ soccer player or something, his body was just not strong enough to withstand nature that day. His body was not developed (through no fault of his own).

Anyway, I hope I soothed your soul and made you tear up a little bit. Carnage shedding a tear? If I could do that, I should win the Pulitzer Prize

Sorry to disapoint you, it had no effect.

I understand the point about kids being at a disadvantage, but the problem is i dont see kids, i see people, young people, old people, fat people and people are dangerous no matter the size, down in the BATEY in dominican republic a 10-12 years old can blow your head with a 9mm, little people are just harder to aim at, dont be fooled.

fair point. KIEDS (Kid Improvised Explosive Devices)

Perhaps you’ve heard of the Trolley Car psychological experiment? You can pull a lever or not pull it, it’s your choice. Not pulling it, kills 10 people. Pulling it, only kills one person and saves the 10, but now you pulled the lever that killed a person while saving the 10.

Anyway, I think, if you tune up the Trolley Car theory to just be children versus adults, equal in number, the adults are gonna get the shaft every time.

We’re predisposed to care for children above all else, even women. I’m convinced now, ACALT, ALL CHILDREN ARE LIKE THAT, ghost all the lil f~~~ers. Avoid being manipulated and beguiled by their trickery.

im kinda going along with carnage. Too bad they died, oh well. Life is survival of the fittest. Physically fittest, mentally fittest, psychologically fittest, properly equipped with tools acquired along the way.

when you get on the boat, figure out how to get out if s~~~ goes bad.
when you are in a building think about where the exits are if s~~~ goes bad
when you drive a car, leave enough room around you so you can move out of the way when someone elses s~~~ goes bad

learn from the fail of others.

When I am on a boat, I hang out in the open spaces. I pay attention to where the flotation devices are stowed.

At the risk of making this a race thing, it seems 9 of the dead were from one family. A black family. It’s well known that this particular demographic is poorly prepared around the water.

Pay attention brothers of color — learn to swim, and teach your young the same.

I haven’t delved into any of the particulars of the case. It sounds like it’s possible that some of the dead went down trapped inside the boat. My initial thought was that all 30 people were treading water and that half didn’t make it.

In any event, I blame these three things:

    1. Captain of the vessal

    2. Life jackets (quality of the jacket, number of them on board, lack of use…)

    3. Lack of ability to swim.

The whole thing seems pretty pathetic to me. A perfect storm of bad variables.

Learn to swim people. If you go out on the water, wear an effing life jacket! Every year, thousands of people drown in fresh water lakes.
