The Western Australian government’s misandry and obvius man-hate is on public record at the website of its Department of Child Protection And Family Support. The screenshots below taken today show how this government actively promotes the sexist and discriminatory male-perpetrator / female-victim myth despite a Harvard Medical School Domestic Violence Study showing men and women took responsibility for being equally violent in the heat of passion.

The Harvard Medical School Domestic violence study study conducted a survey of 11,000 men and women and found that 50% of the violence was reciprocal. When the violence was one-sided, both women and men said that women were the perpetrators about 70% of the time. Men were more likely to be injured in reciprocally violent relationships (25%) than were women when the violence was one-sided (20%).

Note the wording, instantly presuming women are the victims;

“This service provides support and counselling for women experiencing family and domestic violence. This includes phone counselling, information and advice, referral to local advocacy and support services, liaison with police if necessary and support in escaping situations of family and domestic violence. The service can refer women to safe accommodation if required. A telephone based interpreting service is available if required.”

“This service provides counselling for men who are concerned about their violent and abusive behaviours. The service can provide telephone counselling, information and referral to ongoing face to face services if required. Oh, and finally, as if it is an afterthought –

“Information and support is also available for men who have experienced family and domestic violence.”

No emergency accommodation for men. A different phone number for men to ring notifying the call center that a MAN is on the line. Also note the government-backed bias / misandry / sexism / gynocentricity / discrimination in the domestic violence support brochures –

What’s the bet that Western Australia Department Of Communities, Child Protection And Family Support staff are mainly women? So in this modern day and age we still have this man-hating, government-backed propaganda despite research showing biological mothers are more likely to hurt and kill their children than father.

I think all Western Australian men should demand a refund on their tax dollars, especially when their hard-earned tax-dollars are spent perpetuating the myth that they are wife-beaters and child abusers. The information is out there. Government agencies like this are perpetrating evil. Maybe if confronted with evidence, they would claim ignorance.

When I saw the thread title I thought it was about Washington State…my Garmin calls WA Western Australia, too. Sooner or later the conversation is going to shift. It’s too bad that it will take the deaths of several children to get this conversation going in the media…especially in Australia.

I thought liberals did not like stereotypes but then I remembered they just don’t like stereotypes that don’t suit their version of the truth.

It’s all just an expression of the explicit assumptions made by society and enforced by media. Men are abusers and women are victims.

Let’s say you started a small pizza business. Some time later, you hired an assistant manager to help you. Years later, the pizza market slowed and you decided to close down. You have arranged to sell the building and equipment to recoup you money. Does the assistant manager then get to ask for all of that money as compensation? They would be laughed at.

Yet, this is exactly what happens in societies’ view of divorce. Man = bad, woman = good. This is why women view getting divorced as ‘taking your ass to the bank’ and ‘I’m going to take you for everything you have!’

Society doesn’t just accept this, it encourages this kind of behavior. Television, movies, and reality TV idolize these women who managed to take everything from their ex-spouse and flaunt that largess.

It is despicable that it has become so commonplace. So much so that the gov’t, in your example, has no qualms about publishing a website flaunting it.

You can’t lose if you don’t play.

A co-worker recently told me, "If you want to see who someone really is, divorce them." I have found out how true this is. When your wife drops the façade of being the caring partner, you will witness all of the greed, hate, and spite that she has masked. It is truly breathtaking!
