I find it interesting how my American society determines laws regarding intimate relationships of minors and statutory rape. In some states a 16 year old can consent to sex, but in other states, the person must be 18. In most states (probably all states), a 15 year old cannot consent to sex, but some parents can allow their minor children to legally sign a marriage contract and, therefore, have sex with an adult spouse—thus avoiding the statutory rape charge. His/her parents can consent to his/her marriage even though (s)he’s not old enough to sign a legal contract. I wonder what the courtship phase of such a relationship would be like. A grown man dating a 15 year old girl may end up having an awkward conversation with Chris Hansen.

"I saw that there comes a point, in the defeat of any man of virtue, when his own consent is needed for evil to win-and that no manner of injury done to him by others can succeed if he chooses to withhold his consent. I saw that I could put an end to your outrages by pronouncing a single word in my mind. I pronounced it. The word was ‘No.’" (Atlas Shrugged)

I don’t know,of any state where 15 can get married with consent of parents. I do know of states where 16 can with consent of parents.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

    A snippet:

Parental control over her sexuality was why Sara Siddiqui, 36, was married at 15. Her father discovered that she had a boyfriend from a different cultural background and told her she’d be “damned forever” if she lost her virginity outside of marriage, even though she was still a virgin. He arranged her Islamic wedding to a stranger, 13 years her senior, in less than one day; her civil marriage in Nevada followed when she was 16 and six months pregnant.

“I couldn’t even drive yet when I was handed over to this man,” said Siddiqui, who was trapped in her marriage for 10 years. “I wasn’t ready to take care of myself, and I was thrown into taking care of a husband and being a mother.”

Do you know what the legal age you can get married in he US really is?

    How about 13 years old?

What if you get married outside of the USA? The USA laws do not apply. SO yes,you can marry a 8 year old.

What should really make you think? If you try to get help via the DV court laws? Those young girls get no help if they are in an abusive marriage since she is not 18 yet. I know? Imagine that. But it did happen.

That’s the dirty part of it. It proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the people who run these DV offices are not interested in women’s safety. Only as far as it allows them to destroy families. Imagine that story.

[Republican lawmakers, who control the Legislature, opposed it, including state Rep. Bryan Zollinger, who said it “went too far.”

“Obviously, I’m against child marriage,” the GOP lawmaker told NBC News. “But basically marriage is a contract between people that shouldn’t require government permission.”]

If that’s the case, then why does DIVORCE require government permission?

The government has determined that divorce is the purpose of marriage.
They don’t make any money from the marriage, only the divorce.

    There ya go.

    Bingo.

And if you want my opinion, the only reason why gay marriage was opposed was so that young boys did not also suffer the same fate. But… HERE we have it.

And they say MGTOW is CRAZY? What planet are these people from?

The liberals are pushing ped where ever they can get away with it. Child porn on Twitter is the latest. All fine and dandy because “I was born that way” the mantra for change.

They are basically setting the stage for future divorces. Hardly any of these minor marriages will last. Its a recipe for future divorce and the states know it, they just want to line theirmpockets with rhe guys money and assets, promote the idea to women that men dont matter and are just interchangeable sources of income, and destroy the family structure.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

This is the way it SHOULD be. A father should determine who his daughter marries. A fifteen year old girl is already five years past puberty, her hormones are raging, and she has NO CLUE about how to assess a good potential mate. It should absolutely be the father’s decision.
