She is only muslim in the sense that it is her family heritage. It’s really not that surprising, as it’s quite common with Christians as well. I would suspect it’s common for any religion really.

You’ll meet people every day in the West who claim to Christian, or more specifically of denomination, yet haven’t been to a church or read a bible in forever. They do believe in God and subscribe their morals as based on their faith, yet can’t really tell you where the bible and their own beliefs are in contradiction.

I’m not really knocking people like this at all. I could easily be classified this way myself. It just seems like there needs to be better classifications for those that practice and those that just have family heritage and want to feel good about it. Instead, they want to straddle the fence and be both a muslim/Christian and be fully a part of society and whatever views it currently holds.

I’d say the vast majority are like that. They use their religion as moral authority too try and manipulate others, very few people submit to and follow what the religion itself says and change themselves to reflect it rather than doing the reverse and changing all the scripture/principles to fit their own ends.

In the West and really around the world today that usually means gynocentry, most religions are completely feminist. Pretty much all religion and all philosophy is the complete opposite. A way of life with masculinity at the front, because that was the only way to build society in the first place. Feminism destroys society, but that means it can’t even exist until society is made first. It’s easy to destroy things, many ways to destroy things really. There’s usually only one way to build something right however.

I don’t disagree. However, I don’t want to knock people that aren’t devout to their religions. It is very difficult to do so when society and the very institutions of your religion are not devout. Nor does it mean that you’re a ‘bad person’. The world is troubled. Always has been, always will be. I doubt there was ever a time when all women or men behaved as they should…whatever that even means.

Society is backwards. Logic and truth doesn’t matter in society. You can claim to be a part of whatever belief you want and have no knowledge of it whatsoever.

I have yet to see some fundamental radical atheists who were actually consistent with their beliefs.
