I’m not an expert, but it seems to me that some Millenials are not rushing into marriage for financial reasons.

Marriage is expensive. First, Snowflake wants an expensive engagement ring. Then she wants an expensive wedding and honeymoon.
Of course she wants the mansion and the luxury SUV. I’m glad the Millenials are not signing up for mega debt. Kudos.

To the Millenials- enjoy life and do what’s in your best interests.

While these poor bastards get dragged off to family court over the next 18 months, I’ll be touring Belize, Costa Rica, Thailand, and a few other tropical countries looking for a place to slurp margaritas and swing in a hammock.

Let me know how it goes…I’ll probably be starting my tour of where do I want to spend the first few years of my retirement in about 5 years lol.

there’s a reason why divorce lawyers were the biggest proponents of gay marriage,

    a

Haha I was talking to a gay guy a few years back that was some friend of a friend of a friend type thing when they first legalized gay marriage in my state and he was totally thrilled. He had asked me what I thought about it being legalized. I think he knew I was a right leaning straight guy, and was expecting me to be upset or something, and I pretty much just said who cares, marriage is pointless for straight people these days, what does it matter if gays are allowed to do something pointless. He replied with some junk about love wins and some other childish slogans, and it was just like dude…did you not hear what I said…I don’t care lol.

Gay marriage really just struck me as a fad. It was legalized in my state in 2010. Just from my personal experience it seemed like the first year it was legal there were more gay weddings than the next 7 combined, and of all the gay couples I knew who married early on have all since divorced. Its like a little kid playing with a stupid toy, and another little kid wants a turn super bad just because he doesn’t have it, then when he finally gets a turn they realize its stupid and don’t want it anymore.

The last serious girlfriend I had was buried under about 70k in student debt, plus who knows what for her car loan, and I’d have been shocked if there wasn’t also credit card debt involved. She was making probably 30-35k a year and was regularly hitting her dad up for money as she’d come up short each month. At the time I didn’t even really think about the cost of the wedding, or a house as deal breakers…I couldn’t even get passed the idea that should marriage come into play I’d be paying off her past debts she accumulated while riding the c~~~ carousel, and I’d be subsidizing her life as she wasn’t staying afloat with dad money to help her out.

When I think of the word partner, I’d think of a symbiotic relationship. If I’m bringing assets and an income that exceeds my living expenses to the table, a partner would bring the same thing. In the case of most women that is nowhere near what you get…you get a parasite, and if you are stupid enough to marry them the courts are all too willing to help them move from host to host.

It’s millennial men who are not rushing into marriage.

I know plenty of millennial women who are desperate to get wifed up and “make it official” etc. (and then retire from work on his dime), but it’s not up to them. For financial reasons their boyfriends just aren’t asking. And his financial reason is he doesn’t want to lose half his s~~~ in divorce like his father and grandfather did. Not paying out the nose for her “special day” is just a side benefit.

This is why you can expect the standards for common law marriage (and common law divorce) to be massively loosened in the upcoming decade to put the screws to millennial men who aren’t stupid enough to put a ring on it.

Divorce rates are plummeting because marriage rates have already plummeted. Why?

Capitalism is mobile, and it flees a hostile environment…

Look, it's not my fault that tornado dropped a house on your sister. Now get back on your broom and get your ass out of here... and take your monkeys with you

Well. The only reason why people stay together is that there is no one that wants to take care of them. WOmen still get to f~~~ around and MEN still get to be cucked. I hate to say this, but men today just don’t care if they are on the bottom end. Why bother with doing more then you have to?

Sadly, those with the most successful marriages are those with nothing. And No kids. Usually a Fat as hell woman and a skinny guy.

You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home

Get your popcorn ready, it will be a circus show, watching them desperately scramble to fudge the statistics in articles just like this for many years to come. They do it every week. Hiding the failing reproduction of our species. We’re in a system of a down, an unsustainable model. It will get worse, and it will be funny as hell to see it sailing in slow motion, on fire, over the cliff.

Just you wait until the millennial girls hit their 30s. If you think there are a lot of “where are all the good men” bulls~~~ articles from spinster losers now, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

Aside, I just realized why they’re called spinsters. That’s what the c~~~ carousel does: it spins. Until it spins them right the f~~~ off into the wall.

College is 60/40 split. Women practice Hypergamy. Women college graduates have a much smaller pool of males to date.
Then there is college debt and the degrees that most women pursue are worthless in the job market.
And millennial males are increasingly hesitant about getting married to a woman who has significant debt. Other millennial males are basically invisible to women
due to the lack of a college degree and a high paying job. Millennial women have fewer Beta Wallets to choose from. Women don’t marry Chads. There aren’t enough of them and most Chads don’t have a good paying job.

    Yes.

The UK is moving fast in this direction and for this very reason. It’ll scoop a fair number of idiots in the short term, but long term it will discourage cohabitation.
