What the article fails to acknowledge is the basic cost benefit analysis of going to a nightclub. Strip clubs are basically ‘gentlemen lounges’, its mostly full of guys, there is a ton of security so there are no fights, phones aren’t allowed either and there are a few bars, if you want to get a lap dance you can, if you don’t you don’t have to just continue drinking with your friends in the corner.

Clubbing in the U.K back the early 00’s was great. It was the age of super-clubs like Gatecrasher – warehouse raves with 15,000 people – it was short lived but they were special days. Non-stop dancing and partying – everyone was so E’d up there was no pulling.

We left the mainstream clubs to the idiots – we weren’t interested in the women – for us it was about the rave which could start Fri evening and sometimes ended winding up Monday morning.

Otherwise agree that clubs are just a total waste of time. To distract me from my divorce, my friend invited me to the closing party at amnesia in Ibiza last year. Not the friendly rave atmosphere I was expecting. Just dolly birds everywhere with attitude and the music was s~~~ – techno mongs! My mate paid for VIP – the drinks and table cost him 8k!.. WTF. People are more interested in pouting and looking good than having fun – terrible vibe. Staff were so rude. Just avoid. I am glad I had my time in the early oo’s – those hedonistic days are now long gone but had some great memories.

On another note. I am in finance. Lets do some financial analysis here. All the figures take are average from where I live (a more expensive part of the country, think bay are, nyc standards).

Money:
So you get dressed. I am not going to take the cost of clothing into this equation because clothing is a need. I will however take transportation. A decent place will not be in the outskirts, it is usually in the middle of most expensive/popular venue in the city. So the average price of gas/uber/praking and etc is $20. Usually there is a cover charge. The standard seems to be $20.Watered down johny that I like so much is usually $10 plus a $1 because it took so many years of school and knowledge for the bartender to pour that f~~~ing drink for me and still get the ratio of ice to alcohol wrong. Usually that first drink is gone pretty fast because our mind is ashamed of us being there and tries to pass the f~~~ out as fast as it can so it wouldn’t take any responsibility for us. OF course you get f~~~ing hungry during the night and order some food. On average thats about $15. After striking out with 10 women and almost getting into 2 fist fights, throwing up on the bouncer because he is big and black, you get kicked out. You drag your ass home. That take money too (minus the parking).
Dragging ass home- $10
Food-$15
2nd drink-$11
1 drink-$11
Cover Charge-$20
Transportation-$20
Total=$77 (this figure does not include potential damage of dui, getting charged of rape from some drunk slut, getting charged with fist fights and etc and etc).
Potential damages- up to $1000 if not more.

Average educated bloke in his 25-40 in USA makes about 70-75k a year before taxes. On average when you take out federal(25% and state 7% on average) your take home salary comes down to be $51k. That equates to $980 of after tax paycheck that this poor bloke gets to cash in every week for working at least 40 hours a week. But lets be honest here. No job will pay that much for only 40 hours. Its more like 45-55 hours per week.

Lets say this bloke is super smart and financially educated. And saves 50% of his ATI. That leaves him with weekly allowance of $490 for bills, clothing, food, fun and etc.

Now at this point, $77 gets a whole new shinning perspective. Plus, on another note, a bottle of johny black costs about $50-60 and lasts about 10 nice cups.

So you are telling me that for $60 bucks, I can buy a bottle, stay home, call my buddy, turn on netflix, be a king of the castle, not get into trouble, and still have more fun and less drama than I would have if I went out?

The average man makes nowhere near 70-75k, especially at the 25-30 prime age range. That’s one of the issues. Men are still burdened with unrealistic demands and expectations.

Spot on. It was new and fun at the time. Acid house in the early days and then the house/trance take over. Everyone was totally off their nuts – no trouble. No one was interested in pulling – everyone was just there for the music, their mates and to share chemically induced experiences – clubbing in its purest form. Clubs now are irrelevant. Everything is just commercialised and contrived. The fun, colour and soul has been taken out of it. This led to arguments and fights that mangina cro magnons used as a golden opportunity to impress the trollops that they wanted to plow.
The place ended up closing it’s doors after some troglodyte pulled a gun after getting kicked out. Nobody in the neighborhood misses that place for good reason.

There are such better places to go than s~~~ty clubs. I went to a sport bar with my buddy the other night to watch Rhonda Rousey get destroyed. We were there for 5 hours watching UFC, and I had dinner, a big ass desert, 2 beers, and a soda…ended up leaving 45 bucks. Only reason it even cost that much is because we got friendly with one of the waitresses a while back and now every time we show up to watch the fights or whatever we just go see her and she bumps us to the front of the table queue so we don’t have to stand around thumbing our asses for an hour and a half waiting to get a table on a busy night, so we tip her well so she does it again for us next time lol.

I couldn’t imagine dumping almost twice that on a night out at some s~~~ty club with awful music full of annoying retards just hoping to get some beat up pussy and not even get a good meal out of it. Why spend more money just for a less enjoyable night out?
