A month or so ago I posted that I had lost a little weight and went back to MA training after a 9 year sabbatical (I am almost 50). Brothers asked for updates. So here goes.

Obviously I am not in the shape that I was 9 years ago but training is getting easier, skills are starting to return. Things that were f~~~ing hard a few weeks ago are still hard, just less so.

This evening while looking for a clean shirt to wear I realized that the shirts I have been wearing are just to f~~~ing big.

I went deep into the T-Shirt archive and found one that was 2 sizes smaller. Much to my surprise it fit without looking like someone stuffed Rosie O’Nastyc~~~ into a condom.

While I wouldn’t be able to wear the shirt with a IWB holster (printing) it fit remarkably well.

Of, course I am posting this to brag like a motherf~~~er. Suck-it bitches. J/K

Seriously though, I found inspiration here to better myself physically and I hope this in some small way will inspire others.

If a disabled, middle aged, fatman can lose weight and get in better shape, you can to. There is no timeline, no goals. Just putting in a little effort.

Great stuff mate. I always say the hardest part about training is getting yourself there, once you get there the instructor takes over and you reap the benefits down the line. Keep it up. 🙂

Keep working at it Grue. Every younger guy should know this as they get into their 30’s 40’s and beyond, and that is lighter is better. Sure when you are younger you may want to lift weights and bulk up, or maybe you are overweight, either way, lighter is better in the long run, much less wear and tear on your joints along with less of a burden on your heart and cardiovascular system. Blood Pressure noticeably goes down as you lose weight. Big men do not live long, I think offensive linemen usually die in there 50’s or 60’s. There are not many big dudes who make it much past 70.

    Thank you Brother Hitman.

Out of necessity I have to wear baggy shirts.

Otherwise, some leftard, snowflake little bitch c~~~ will call the fuzz on me.

Tonight I went to a place where CC is illegal, even with a permit. Hence, the experiment with a smaller shirt.

Noway, could I wear the shirt with a holster and piece.

Anyway, again, updates were asked for thus provided.
I truly hope there is inspiration here for others.

IF youre going to be fat, yeah lighter is better.

If you are buiding muscle, you want the muscle. Becasue you are gonna lose that as you get older regardless. You want as much as you can build so that it helps prevent you from injuries as you age.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

The training is not like working out in a gym with the goal of physical fitness.

However, there is a lot of picking your sorry ass off the ground after someone younger and stronger slams you into it.

Funny thing this. One tends to learn more about self protection when on the receiving end of being drilled into the ground. But that is a discussion for another day.

We had freedom once in this country…

    we make our own freedom.
    work.
    save.
    buy land.
    build.
    live ( basically) free.
    still possible.

Man I would love to agree.

Lets say you ‘buy land’ don’t pay the taxman, what happens?

I get the spirit of what you said but truth is different, methinks.

Still, being as self sufficient as one can is ideal.

I dropped 20 and within 7 lbs. of my natural weight. More energy and longevity, climbing stairs and feel the difference.

    X corn syrup

    X bakery

    X sweets

    X soda

    X alcohol

No effort on my part, the weight just fell off over the past couple years and more muscle tone while saturated with water, no fake loss, real loss, I feel GREAT!
