I can eventually see the Cortana AI deleting s~~~/not letting you access your own files on your own system/blocking you out of your own system in the future.

And I thought people were upset when MS removed the start icon, and made the OS touchpad friendly by default, even when the computer in question did not have a touchpad.

MS actually invented a software that turns a person’s computer into a clingy, controlfreak woman that controls their files.

I mean this is messed up on levels I didn’t know previously existed.

I feel dumber reading that. It’s a damn program that should be used for better or worse by the owner of the device in question. Windows has deviated so far from being a business class OS with the Cortana crap, metro and gaudy colors. I don’t think it’s going to stop there either.

Makes me glad I retrained myself almost a decade ago to deal with Linux and the like. Back then I only had personal opinion to believe that Windows might be ruined. But now it’s plain as day.

I sent the following to The Mary Sue themarysue.com Discussion.

Horseplay with a virtual device is what Microsoft was planning on when they created a virtual female interface. They were counting on it to make more money by having more users using virtual horseplay. Now they want to manipulate women introducing her by creating this article and fake scandal. If you use Cortana after reading this article they have duped you and you have been used now as well.

I still love Microsoft, I don’t care what the haters say. Fact is Win10 suits me personally better.

Only reason to use Win10 is because of games and if you’re too lazy to change.

I don’t really use Cortana though. I probably disabled it and forgot about it, haven’t seen any difference.

But you can be damn sure I will never use Windows again, especially for a new build.

And it’s 100% gesture based (swiping and tapping with your finger).. The reason being? The head designer only has one hand…

Accessories are a pain to get a hold of, but the hardware is good spec, the OS is very stable, and the Jolla apps are impressive in themselves.

Perhaps best of all, you’re not tied to some US company, going through all of your personal data.
