Microsoft’s “Cortana” A.I. faces sexual harassment!

That’s right men. They’ve taken it one step further. If any of you have an iPhone, you’ve probably asked Siri something wierd before. I know I have.

Well now they’ve decided that the growing number of virtual A.I. assistants, most of whom are voiced by women, are being “sexually harassed”. That’s right. Non-sentient code that has a text to speech synthesizer can be harassed. I feel like the most hilarious part is:

“Cortana is clearly identified as a woman. She has a female avatar and is voiced by human woman Jen Taylor. But the writers are conscious about avoiding female-assistant stereotypes. Cortana isn’t self-deprecating and avoids saying sorry. ”

That’s right. Your A.I. is a strong independent woman. She doesn’t need to be servile to you!

Microsoft is just shooting themselves in the foot. I’m glad they’re doing this, because it just means more market share for Linux.

Plus, aside from the very few business apps that run on Microsoft, like a certain company that programed an app especially for Windows, do we really need Microsoft anymore?

Android even has a desktop version of it’s OS based on Linux.

Why America still uses Windows is beyond me. A lot of European, Latin, and Asian countries already use it in their daily lives.

I guess I am just a naturally oppressive person.
I disable all applications that have a synthesized human voice telling me anything.
I have the ability to read and comprehend on my own, and have never needed to have, nor desired an artificial voice of any gender to fill the silence.
I am willing to bet “Cortana” is resented more by women than men, so the SJW’s make “her” into yet another victim.
Hell, just add a male voice as an option if its such a big deal.
