It’s official, a Principal Developer Advocate saying on twitter that women are better and that they hire based on skills.

“You have a lot of women on your team, is it a diversity thing?” Let me be very clear here, we hired the best in the industry and the best are women. The end. Don’t insult us by assuming it’s a diversity thing. It’s a skill thing.

This also explains their entire forced upgrade policy that would do it when you did not want it, it explains upgrades you cannot turn off or refuse, it explains how now they market software as a service you pay for perpetually rather than as a product you decide if and when to install.

I disabled auto update.

Once you use the PC for recording radio shows you are p~~~ed off when you return to find a rebooted desktop and your recording was not made.

Or any other task that might take over night is not done due to such an “important update”.

So I do everything manually.

Windows 10 is a bag of s~~~ so I don’t thing Microsoft’s developers are very good.

First thing I did was change the privacy settings and switched a load of things off including windows updates.
