Hey everyone, today is my day off, and I went Xmas shopping in town. I was about to enter a store, and saw a woman holding a cardboard box in one hand, while steadying it with the other. She was also heading for the door. The box clearly wasn’t heavy, as the full weight of it was resting on one hand.
I got to the door first, and had noticed her “going in for the royal treatment”, or in plain English, getting the door held open for her. So what did I do?
Let the door close right behind me without holding it for her.
“MMGRMPH!!” I hear behind me.
Not a single f~~~ given, didn’t even twitch, just went on my merry way. I’ve been smirking all the way back home.
Merry christmas………..hahahahaha
MGTOW is not a movement, it is a way of life.
F~~~ing A!!!
I’d hold the door for anyone behind me no matter what. That’s just my way. I have noticed that every single guy I’ve opened the door had thanked me, even thug types with their underwear showing. Most women do show gratitude when I hold the door for them. I have noticed however that the women who don’t show any gratitude tend to have a high maintenance look and manner about them. They’d walk through having never acknowledged my very existence, some would even go so far as to literally turn their noses up while walking past me. They just don’t think that when I hold a door for them that it’s because I’m polite, they think it’s because they simply deserve it after a lifetime of being spoiled by manginas and simps.

It’s great that you’re sticking up for yourself.
I must ask though- Do we really have to be as bad as them?My policy on door-opening is as follows:
If someone is within two seconds behind me, I’ll hold it open, male or female. It’s just common courtesy. If they aren’t within two seconds behind me, I won’t.
It’s clear, it’s simple, and it’s courteous. Women hold the door open for me all the time. I’m not talking about keeping it open if they are across the street or anything…just if they are right behind me.
If she was holding the box and right behind me, I would’ve gone in first and given the door a big push so she could’ve kept it open with her foot and entered after me.
If she wasn’t behind me, I wouldn’t have kept it open.
But it sounds like she was right behind you…and since she was carrying a box, I would’ve given it an extra large push and held it open for a second for her, AFTER I entered.
Anonymous26I hold doors open for everyone that is just the way I am too…. and usually everyone says thank you…….
except…………….
those of that religion that want to take over the world, you know who….? They worship some guy named Allan or something like that.
They never said thank you and I never hold the door open for them since!

Well, just so you know, if you held the door open for her, that’s basically equal to genocide. <sarcasm>
Good on you, this only further proves that women don’t f~~~ing know what they want.
Feminism is a movement where opinions are presented as facts and emotions are presented as evidence.

Exactly my stance and experience as well.
There lies serenity in Chaos. Seek ye the eye of the hurricane.
Agreed that the best policy is to hold the door open for anyone, regardless of what they may be carrying. That’s equal treatment and common courtesy. I do think men appreciate it more, particularly if they are in different social classes. It’s a sign of respect.
I used to commute to work on the bus. It was about 45 min to 1 hour ride, and the bus was usually full, and ran about every 5 minutes. It was common for the bus to be standing room only, and of course it was common for men to give up their seat for women. Not me. For one thing, I don’t have the best back anymore and 45 minutes standing on a moving bus is not going to make my evening pleasant. As well, you can’t read on your phone or relax to music very well. And again, the bus comes every 5 minutes. If you don’t want to stand, get to the bus stop a few minutes earlier, walk to another stop 2 blocks earlier, or just catch the next stop. I’m not going to put myself through 45 minutes of discomfort because you can’t properly plan ahead.
And yes, even if you’re pregnant or elderly, you can still plan ahead.
Ok. Then do it.
