Lets say you where put in a position where you could rescue one of two people but only one and one was a female and one was a man.
You knew neither and they where both the same age!

Now the remnants of my traditional upbringing is screaming the Female but I would definately rescue the man.
So all being equal which would you guys rescue and would you cope with the Flak from the rest of society that you would get.

You said “could”. You didn’t say I had to. Depending on the context, I may choose to rescue neither one of them. I don’t base who to save on their sex/gender. The thing is there isn’t individuals who are exactly equal. I also don’t like to deal with hypothetical situations where I can’t have full wins.

My take on MGTOW is I evaluate each situation on its own merits and may not get involved at all in something. I don’t have a mission to try to save the world, just get my stuff together, and work from there. There are others who are far better qualified at rescuing others than me, so I can leave it to them.

If it was a female making the decision I have no doubt which she would have picked.

My transporter can easily beam both up simultaneously. However, if the female is too large for one of the standard transporter platform pads; she may have to be re-materialized in one of the shuttle bays.

Depends on the situation we are in really. If we are talking about drowning I would save the woman, simply because drowning people have a tendency of trying to drag other people down with them in panic and I believe I could more easily knock a woman out than a man if necessary. But in most cases I would save the man.

Seriously, there are a lot more things to consider here than just their sex. Would I be endangered in any way by saving either of them? What am I saving them from? Is there any chance either of them could save them self?

That being said, if there’s no risk to myself and all other things being equal, I’d probably start the bidding at $5. Of course the man is far more likely to pay up after, so that should be taken into consideration.

I agree with Scandinavian; there is too little information given about the risk to one’s self.

Assuming that I could, at no risk to myself, attempt to rescue either of the parties with equal certainty, I would help the man. This is because the female would have a significantly better chance of being rescued by a third party than the man on account of female in-group preference and male out-group preference.

Even if it were imminent that the one who was not saved immediately would die, I would still pick the man as payback for the odious dictum of “women and children first”.

Well really comes down to how much one’s own survival suddenly gets at risk for trying to save one of them, but in reality the only right choice would be to save the man, more likely not to drag you into death in the process, women seem so erratic and insane that she surely might kill you both, when in desperation, while men will listen to common sense and try to focus.

But honestly, it all depends on the scenario in a whole, and the choice would be between stealth, or saving the guy first.
