I would say that if your employers can use those tools to see everything you do at work the Feds and state gov’ts can as well.

Yes, but these are two different aspects. Your employer may care, if your work is not done, and you spend “work time” browsing web. If the work is done, no one cares at all what you do. I’m used to watch jokes and news, while the computer is collecting measurement data. No one ever complained about it. (By the way, “work time” is a stupid thing on many types of work. There are tasks what have to be done. And these tasks never come in the same amount for everyday.)

For the “Feds”, this philosophy is neither banned nor illegal. So they should not care for it. (I hope no more extremist feminism push to broaden “hate speech” laws)
