Just watched Hell or High Water and saw some of the themes reflect what we discuss here. Don’t know if this kind of post is welcome here, just wanted to share my observations with anyone who has seen it or may be interested in watching it.
1) Chris Pine’s character is literally robbing banks to pay off the bank and his bitch of an ex-wife for child support.
2) The waiter flirts with Chris Pine. She’s a BBW living in a poor town during the recession and her idea of flirting is to immediately ask him if he has a job and how much he makes. No subtlety, no skill. Pine leaves a big tip out of pity.
3) Pine’s alpha convict thug brother flirts with a hotel clerk and then f~~~s her later that night. She doesn’t care about her husband or boyfriend waiting for her at home, this poor and dirty criminal takes priority.
4) During the final bank robbery, a girl texts her dad for help. A gang of white knights literally lead the charge against the criminals until they run away after being shot at by the alpha convict thug brother.
5) After successfully completing his plan, Chris Pine still gets disrespected in front of his children and strangers by his bitchy ex-wife despite providing $50k a month for her and their kids.
Loved that movie. Definitely some red pills in there.

What didn’t you like about it. I thought when they robbed the bank towards the end and all those texans ran after them, made the movie.

I thought the actors were wasted and it didn’t flow every well. That scene where he gets out and shoots and the hicks with a machine gun was really cool. Jeff Bridges kind of sucked in it as well.
I saw it… I thought it was a good movie because it was realistic. Not some Hollywood hyped up FX crapola..
The characters were believable. The acting was good. Some may not have liked the character the actor portrayed, but the story was intriguing and not so stereotypical. The plot was not aimed at a mgtow audience, necessarily. I thought there were some valid mgtow virtues by the main character. I took it that his motivation had less to do with his ex, and More about his son!
He didn’t want his son to follow in his footsteps, and he wanted him to have a better start in life. That’s commendable, even if his ex benefited, it wasn’t about her.
For me, The story was about amends and with such limited resources a man has to him, He made took a chance when opportunity came his way….. At the end of the day,, All three characters, Pine, Foster and Bridges were well cast, and did a verra believable job of the men they played.Meditating on the Wisdom & Truths of Man, Isn't just a Philosophy, but a Calling......Be willing to be Called a Man!I was a bit harsh on it.
