Some of the YT comments I made under this video that reflect I think is really going on here:

The problem with MGTOW is that its a movement with a name. Once you got a name/label it is a target of opportunity to sling mud at, to be co-opted and to be destroyed.

Trollers and haters (most likely white knights) coming in pretending to be MGTOWs solely to destroy MGTOW by flooding their ‘hangouts’ with shock images.

They come in a group to make it look like a large number of random people seemingly unconnected getting on to the sick stuff to leave the impression to an outsider that the typical MGTOW  is into this crap. The word goes around and the very idea of turning one’s back on society becomes wrongly associated with this sick stuff.

People as distrustful in their nature are more likely to believe negative than positive aspects, doesn’t matter if its truth or lies. This therefore drives away the genuine people.

I have seen the same thing happen to the Truth Movement, finally destroyed  by flat-earth bulls~~~ and Nazi sympathizers ( after years of denigrating itself with endless fear porn of WW3 and others).

Exactly. Thomas Sheridan said to beware joining any organized movement, especially with a name that becomes its calling card.

Moment I saw the ‘Goatse’ picture I knew this was of 4chan origin. Likely the anime cartoon gore (known as “guro”) also originated from their board dedicated to this crap. Or it could be MGTOW haters and white knights using these shock images traditionally used by hackers as online weapons against target forums/blogs/websites to denigrate the movement.

Not making excuses or condoning any of this crap, just disappointed that MGTOW is finding itself in the same situation as the Truth movement…

He made this in response to a private hangout where several known MGTOW men and a lady started sharing obscene material to gross each other out. Personally, I find the notion of puritanism to be much more disturbing than whatever content you may find inappropriate – another form of political correctness.

 

You may find it distasteful, but there is none of an argument I am aware of that precludes “sick” and sexually “deviant” individuals from being MGTOW. This particular complaint is a MGTOW non-issue and bringing public attention to a private matter just reveals the puritanical intentions of the author of the complaint.

 

On the issue of finding it objectionable to lower the age of consent to 12 – the reaction of individuals complaining is entirely emotional. I find that this demonstrates just how little progress many men made in crafting their minds to respond intellectually.

 

And finally, the distancing oneself from such “perverted” individuals is an appeal to fallacious thinking – as if any association that has not been yet established demands oneself to proclaim independence from.

 

I find this to be a great opportunity to expose intellectual dishonesty and emotion-based appeals among the community.

I just look at MGTOW as more of like an awareness group.  You don’t have to have a woman to be happy, or make yourself vulnerable to a divorce by going into marriage blindly because you are “in love.”  Even myself…I plan on continuing to date women in the future, and if I thought I found the right woman I might consider marriage(with a prenup) because I would like to have kids…but marriage isn’t a huge priority in my life, I definitely am careful about what I do, and I would gladly walk from a relationship before turning into a mangina.

I don’t really consider myself part of a movement…it just is what it is.  I don’t see how one could bash MGTOW by name, when its such a loose concept the only thing all the men here would probably even agree is to take care of yourself(physically, emotionally, and financially) as nobody else is going to do it for you, and that enforcement of our laws and our court systems are biased against men so be careful.  I’d consider women like alcohol at this point in my life.  You don’t have to be a drunk(mangina/white knight), and you don’t have to refuse to ever drink(never date/befriend women and talk to them as little as possible), but drink responsibly(wrap it up, don’t get stuck living with a woman with no way out, in general don’t treat women like perfect little angels that can do no wrong or you’ll find yourself in a world of hurt).

If someone wants to label MGTOW as woman haters, who cares, its not true.  If they want to label MGTOW as losers who can’t get laid, who cares, its not true.  If they want to label MGTOW as radicals, who cares, its not true.  MGTOW is no more than guys sharing ideas and life experiences with others mainly over the internet.  To me, its no different than joining a chevy forum, it doesn’t define you as a person at all…maybe you’ll learn some new things to try, or share some of your ideas/experiences so that others might learn from them or give advice, and its totally cool if you don’t agree with everyone, the only thing expected of you is to be respectful.

For you to care what others think of the movement is yourself occupying with the opinions of others which seems antithetical to MGTOW, if you’re entirely intellectually honest – there is not a part of MGTOW that demands for the ideas to be disseminated. Men who share their thought do so of their own accord, not a sense of duty to the philosophy.

For you to care about the extent that I care about what people think of mgtow…… lol. Lighten up, francis. I share my thoughts out of my own accord and because the philosophy is worth sharing, in my view. Other men would be happier if they believed it, i share out of my sense of duty to other men. If that puts me outside your view of mgtow orthodoxy, oh well, my f~~~s given meter is hitting zero.

 

That is good. I don’t know if you missed my point, but it was that there is not an obligation placed upon an individual MGTOW to share the philosophy. It is not in itself in opposition to MGTOW, but it is not a component of necessity and therefore not an intrinsic property of the philosophy. Your “duty” is born out of compassion or empathy I imagine, not because you were ordained a missionary whence you took the label.

But you see…the beauty of that is if someone p~~~es on chevy, I’d shrug my shoulders, and have the time of my life the next time I (recently sold my camaro…vette incoming soon) am blowing a donut in a sweet ass rwd Chevy with 4 more cylinders then I actually have any need for lol.  Chances are its someone who drives around in a 4 door honda civic, and when they want to take out the fast car, they ask their wife for permission to use the mini van, so the overwhelming majority of the time you look at the source and laugh, and the rest of the time you just don’t care lol.

As far as getting p~~~ed on for still being single and content focusing on my own interests and goals(MGTOW) even though I’m what most would consider a good catch for women my age…I just look at the source and laugh and not care, just like if someone bashed Chevy.  Who is it like 99.9% of the time…a mangina stuck in a miserable marriage, a divorced guy who got destroyed sniveling about you just have to find the right one because he hasn’t found the red pill yet, or a woman.  In any of those cases…I don’t care at all.

Part of what really focused me on this thread is the thomas sheridan reference. He really disappointed throwing the truth movement under the bus recently, wholesale. of course there are nuts in it, but you don’t throw the baby out with the nuts. Im a truther, anti-nwo, anti-vaxxer, all of that, hard core. In case you guys haven’t noticed. Thomas sheridan was my man crush, and he hurt me badly.

The ‘man-crush’ is the mistake most people make in turning someone who is no different from most of us into some sort of guy to be admired. An emotional string attachment, a follow-messiah complex. To fulfil such a need to have a father figure because – you guessed it, dad got cut out of a divorce, or if he wasn’t, he was a disconnected uncaring sociopath (like in my case).

People like Thomas Sheridan just happened to get on the right platform to get a lot more viewers. He is capable of making mistakes in assumption as any one of us. They are just part of the community who instead of just commenting on forums wrote books, has a blog, does radio podcasts and interviews, and released books.

Don’t mix up your search for the Truth with emotional attachment for one guy.

On the note of the op’s video, i do have to agree that i’ve seen a couple of “mgtows” joining in just because of the “fad.”
They usually don’t stay long on this forum. Other than that i have no real way to confirm if people here are manginas in real life, as i don’t know any real mgtows in real life 🙁

Hardly. I’m MGTOW because of my own experiences. Not because someone converted me and I genuinely doubt people CAN be converted just by conversations. MGTOW will never be a worldwide phenomenon. MGTOW messenger went in to white knight mode concerning the age of consent near the end of the video. He is clearly ignorant of history.

Age of consent laws are designed by spinsters to keep young women (i.e. women people actually want to f~~~) of the market. Under common law, the age of consent was between 10 and 12, but it was increased to 16 on account of some sensationalist nonsense (Maiden Tribute of Modern Babylon) published by William Thomas Stead, a journalist. The whole point of MGTOW is the simple fact that we are going our own way.  We may walk with other men who agree on the general direction or we may walk alone.   Been on these roads since 1993.  I was MGHOW before I even knew there was a f~~~ing name for the road I was on.

Point is, once they started labeling us, we got a bullseye target handed to us.  Slap a label on us so they can target us.  As time goes on, posers, sycophants and armchair hobbyists join in.  Now we have men who want to make us a “movement” or whiteknights, manginas, feminists who want to disrupt and destroy any discussions.  Once we got a label they see it as power so they want to destroy us or at least flex their political power over us.

Some of you guys hold radically different political and religious views than I do, that doesn’t mean I don’t respect you as my brother. Some of you hold the view that complete isolation from any relationships with women are necessary to be “true” MGTOW, I hold the view that even the crew of The Nebuchadnezzar occasionally went to play around in The Matrix. They just picked up the phone when they heard it ring (women’s red flags) and got the f~~~ out (kicked her to the curb) before they got stuck there (married).

Walking the MGTOW walk isn’t about lock-step conformity. It’s about living with intelligence in reality.

I’d also like to take a moment to thank everyone here that spends so much of their free time administering, moderating, and contributing to a space where we’re free to be men without fear of crucifixion. I don’t even know who most of you guys are, but I do want you to know that your efforts and sacrifices don’t go unnoticed or unappreciated.

I agree.  We are basically just a group of guys sharing our views on social issues.  The fact is society is stacked against men right now…and knowing that is all that matters.  There is no right response to that information, but denying it and setting yourself up for future destruction is definitely a wrong response.
