So prior to mgtow, I have been studying Buddhism (Theravada) for a number of years. For anyone unfamiliar, the basic premise of Buddhism is to remove all attachments in this life to truly be free of suffering. Before mgtow, the primary attachment I unwilling to let go of was love and sexual companionship.

Death/dying, no problem, understanding what was coming and the necrotic disgust of it all, easy peazy. Buddhism would suggest meditations on the decaying body so that one can become at peace with this aspect of life. But then Buddhism suggested meditating on the gross aspects of sexual encounters, to relinquish yourself of the desire/attachment for sex. This meditation and idea I just could not do. Now that my life path has led me to mgtow, it excites me to know that I can take that BIG one step closer to developing my Buddhist philosophy and way of life. It is also interesting that even though I respect the Buddhist teachings, I needed an extra push from an external source such as mgtow to dive further into it.

Anyway, thought I’d share and ask if anyone else has similar thoughts or experiences?

Going my own way from weemins has definitely helped me in my pursuit of the mystical side of life. I can contemplate, ponder and meditate much better in the evening as my body winds down after a six-o’clock workout. If I have a womin around then that time is wasted on pleasuring her. Physical and Carnal attachment is detrimental to one’s well being. Having only occasional contacts with t~~~s and their drama is paramount to a sane and peaceful life and in that regard I agree with a lot of what Bhuddism teaches. I won’t go full on monk though. While I’m still trapped in this physical form I’ll enjoy what has been created with the moderation of experience.

I still have my urges and desires. It’s just that I don’t let them run my life anymore — no more than I would let my dog drive the car.

I have far less emotional attachment. I don’t feel the need to have feelings, hug someone and all that crap. I find it rather creepy. I can live without women and sex not because I hate women it’s just a chemical addiction. Besides it makes women powerless when you don’t need them for sex.

If you think about it, sex is no more than activating the reward pathway such as when one eats, sleeps or takes drugs. The notion of love related to women is really a form of self-abasement from independence. That is, emotional dependence.

In Buddhism love comes from being kind to people, and that doesn’t mean being a sycophant it means being friendly and knowing what actions are appropriate and inappropriate for each person and situation. There is much more fulfillment in helping the homeless or enjoying the company of friends and this is what I would personally call love, that and pursuing a passion eg. gardening and meditation.

I can think of no paths is life …. for a man …. where mgtow is not a positive thing.

Wherever I look … and apply mgtow … it either remains or improves. It never becomes negative.

    I like it.

    Is “ILive Again” some troll?

Zen Buddhism is what made me capable of red pills. Seriously. This kitty lover needs a boot from Philosophy.

To the matter, Buddhism has many forms. And to hear such non applicable content is abhorrent.

Buddhism makes a better MGTOW. The guy gave up his kingdom, walked around with a cup, and lived HIS life. And forget, FORGET the BS surrounding how to —(fill in the blank)—. No NO NO. Look up Zen. Forget the crap the zealots added on.

Buddhism the lubricant? That is not what red pills are for.

*Guys, guys, guys … watch this*

    Always be respectful of others,
Try to be aware of stereotypes
    Reflect on the Buddha’s teachings
    Remain quiet when visiting temples

And this place is no short of temple to those seeking enlightenment.

You have no friggin clue of Buddhism Lubricants are irrelevant. You refuse to acknowledge the subject.

The nature of troll. I suspect “iLearn” is something of a spammer.

Do you have anything to say of actual Buddhism, on a Philosophy forum?.

I get it. ” iLearn” is against religion.

Recently, although historically reluctantly, I’ve learned to accept religion as part of culture.

    “iLearn”, alternatively, has learned SPAM.

Any real arguments? Or just more “cut and paste” BS?

What´s the problem with you, Elemental. This is MGTOW! A place where anyone can be as he wants to. This is a safe space for men to share knowledge and to support each other! This is not a place to shame, condemn others opinions or call them names!
You haven´t made an introduction yet, but obviously could´t help it to act like a …! No one needs such uncalled-for accusations like the ones you spit on one of our well appreciated brothers! Why don´t you back off a little?
