Always liked the air of professionalism and history a latin motto gives. Altho of course any asshole can chuck up a translation for any cause.
I’ve been working with google translate to find the individual words I want to use, and with Wikipedia, I have the grammatical phrasing correct I think.
So after a fair bit of word shuffling I get – ‘Suus Via Vade’
wich when translated back with google it says ‘Go His Way’ or maybe more accurately by word meaning – ‘the free/independant way to proceede’
I like that the gender infelction in the latin reflects the M in MGTOW. Not a word for word translation of MGTOW but the meaning behind each latin word and the inflection is what I like.
Thoughts?
Would like input from anyone who has experience with Latin.‘suus’ For INDEPENDANT

Hey, as a Latin teacher, I think it’s cool that you like Latin! But your grammar is way off. Let’s work with this a bit.
“Vade” is an imperative (a direct command), which means the subject of the sentence is an implied “you.”
Latin puts words into cases based on their function. Every word has a different ending based on its case. “Via” is in the nominative case, which makes it the subject. But if the verb is “vade,” the subject is actually “you” (though, just as in English, it doesn’t have to be explicitly stated). So “via” needs to be put in the accusative case, which is used for the direct object. This would make it “viam.”
“Suus” is an adjective that means “his, hers, its.” To make it modify viam, it needs to have the same number, case, and GENDER (in Latin, all nouns have a gender…weird, I know). So it would be “viam suam.” However, “suus” refers to something that belongs to a third-person subject, but “vade” implies a 2nd person subject, so you should “tuus” (yours) instead. This would make it: vade viam tuam: “Go your way.”
I think it sounds like a good motto. Someone earlier this month suggested non serviam: “I will not serve.” It’s what Satan supposedly said to God, so it’s got a bit of a negative connotation, but it’s definitely apt for our situation. I might also suggest vive tibi: “Live for yourself.”
I should add that, although Google translate has a fair enough reputation in some languages, its Latin is absolutely atrocious. It doesn’t comprehend Latin grammar at all.

Anonymous42It’s all Latin to me!
Nolo tunata
Nolo – to not want
tunata – female tuna..it ain't me babe...it ain't me you're looking for, babe...
Perfect 🙂 thanks for the help.

I’ve always liked Mad Magazine’s motto for their Alfred E Neuman character – Quid Me Anxius Sum?
What Me Worry?
Nah,just Tuneout!
Lifes a bitch, but you don't have to marry one!
Futue te ipsum. I mean, we often want to say the english equivalent to women.

“Ipsum” is masculine, so if you want to say it to a woman, it’s Futue te ipsam.

Whoops, I’ve been forgetting to decline my intensives lately!
I just threw “men going their own way” at google translator and got “proprium viri”.

I took a few semesters of Latin in college but I’ve honestly put zero practice into it since then. I can read Ovid or Cicero tolerably well (with a dictionary handy!) but I fall to pieces trying to remember my grammar. 🙂
Just wanted to say I think Latin mottos are cool, and a nice thing about MGTOW is that it lends itself to a number of different possible Latin sayings. Heck, every man can come up with one uniquely suited to him.

Google, like myself, isn’t too great with Latin grammar. I think it should be “Proprii Viri”, literally meaning unique or individual men.
I think Latin is totally cool. I am quite lousy at it. Vade viam tuam does roll off the tongue nicely.
@ Can’t stump Trump: What would “actualize yourself” mean in Latin I wonder…
PS.: Once I stumbled upon the “carpe noctem” as the spinoff phrase of the old “carpe diem” I instantly liked it, since I am a night person.
I'd rather die a natual death with a clear MGTOW conscience somewhere off the grid than one within "modern" civilisation with a big stress mark on my forehead and a couple of dozen tubes plugged into my body. Back to the plantation..? Me..? Hey, literally: I won't ever fucking kid myself...YZERLMNTSIC
What would “actualize yourself” mean in Latin I wonder…
I’d go with perfice te. Etymologically, “actualize” is derived from the verb ago, which means basically “do,” “drive,” “act.” However, I think perfice te (perfect yourself) conveys the meaning of “actualize” in this context better than ago.

I have chosen for my tagline an adapation of a famous Latin phrase that General “Vinegar Joe” Stilwell used to have on his desk:
“Illegitimi non carborundum”
It means “Don’t let the bastards grind you down”. I modified it to “Canes non carborundum” (canes being the Latin word for “bitches”).
I first saw that quote in a coworker’s cube during one of my college co-op internships. He incorrectly attributed it to Barry Goldwater, who did actually use that slogan during his presidential campaign. He had it as “Noli permittere illegitimi carborundum”.
That always stuck with me. Don’t let neither the bastards nor bitches grind you down!

Trust me, if you used Google translate, you can be sure that it’s NOT correct 🙂

MGTOW is the best thing for society. Every member of MGTOW has conquered the feminazi propaganda and progamming that so many other poor saps buy into. MGTOW Men are Richer, Braver, and Stronger than any other human on the planet.
